Welcome To Reiki Sanctuary, The Blog

The Voices of My Soul

I enjoy writing. It relaxes me.
It makes me to take charge to nurture my mind and spirit.
It is far better than the burden of thinking and talking.
Writing is self discovery. Writing is a way towards my self-conviction:
I Become What I Think About. The Me I See, The Me I Will Be.

My writings are my way to communicate with the Universe.
They are my expressions of my inner voice. They are voices of my soul.
Often, they are about little prayers for my development, growth and well being.
Often, they are meant to shape my spirituality. [>> Click To Read More]

Partnership With House Plants

A Dedication To All Our House Plants in Reiki Sanctuary

We love having plants in the house.  They are just a simple placement art - a life-affirming nature that frees us to enjoy our surroundings and releases inner peace.

Admittedly, we don't have green thumb.  All throughout, when we were in Hertford, many plants were brought home and withered (Haha, this would be a better word than to say that they all died in our hands).  Still, the love to have them sharing our home constantly keeps us getting new ones every now and then.  Here, in Reiki Sanctuary, we keep that love alive.  We welcome them.  Letting them to purify and bring fresh chi into the environment around us.

Our all-time favourite Iron Plant:

"Safe Keeper"

"Sweet Surrender"

"Love Angel"

We fell in love with this plant when we were scouting for a tall foliage for the balcony.  The formation of the branches is an art and it is, always, so peaceful just looking at the natural beauty.

"Sweet Life"

And our newest 'collection':
We were introduced to this plant by a friend and was told it brings abundance.

"Eternity"

Other plants:

"Foodie Goodie"

"Freshie"

"Perkie"

"Sunshine"
as it brings light and joy in the living room.  Having artificial flowers are far better, and advisable, than to have dried ones in the house:

House plants are, based on geomancy, a simple solution for creating comfort and keeping harmony in the house.  They are great for clearing blocked and stagnant energies.  It is said that caring for house plants does not require a green thumb but love.  Ah!! *Blink, blink* - we have a lot of it! Heng!

In geomancy, the purpose of having house plants is to generate good chi.  Its rationale is, since plants embody the element of wood, thus they contain the life force.  In return, their life force attracts vital energy to energize the room and clear the air, mentally and physically.  In that relaxing sense of space, it rejuvenates our emotions and uplifts our spiritual mind.

Observe how a plant can actually revitalise and provide mental relaxation after a long day.  Or even after arguments or unsettling events.  Their life force simply spreads calmness and peace for the soul.  Plants are also believed to lessen the effects of electromagnetic stress emitted from TVs and other electrical equipment.  They absorb potentially harmful EMF emissions.

However, What we give is what we get.  We would be a fool to expect so much if we are not going to reciprocate.  There is always a limit to everything.  It's a simple nature versus nurture attitude.  When we give love, we get love.  When we nurture love, anything is possible.

House plants need to be cared too.  The more we give, the more we get. It is important to know that house plants can stagnant the energies in the house and produce negative chi if the they are not cared for adequately.

Some guides to care for house plants to achieve optimum feng shui:

01.  Watering Your Plants

Create a water ritual to water them on a regularly basis.  As you water your house plants, visualize the plants as strong and healthy and with every drop of water, they become more vibrant.

02. Name Your House Plants

Name each house plant.  The more you personalize them, you are more likely to give them more tender loving care.

03.  Purpose for Your House Plants

Give a purpose to each house plant.  For example,  make a plant responsible for bringing wealth and abundance into your house.  For many, we have always taken the Money Plant to represent money.  As we water it, visualize each leaf as a thousand dollar bill, or whatever the denomination you desire.  For the wealth to grow, you must care for it and then let it be to grow into a vibrant and healthy plant.

Reiki Sanctuary welcomes "Ah Huat!" at her door step:

You can have different plants for different purposes:

-  Health
-  Career
-  Self Esteem
-  Etc

04.  What You Give Is What You Get

It is important to care for the house plants.  Place them in a container that is visually aesthetic to you, and your family.  Do not place them in an old pot that remind you of a difficult time in your past.  Treat them with respect.  Dress them with love.  Give your faith.

Take care of your plants and they will take care of you!

Let's Have A Little Tour - Part Four

This is a room where one miscommunication, during the renovation, has turned out to be a blessing.  During the initial planning stage, we wanted to have a filing wardrobe above the study table.  Basically, it will be a wardrobe for files, books and stationeries.  Instead, Chiauw instructed the joiner for a shelf.

Should we have insisted on the filing wardrobe, this whole study room will be cluttered.  There will be too much wardrobe all around.  We would probably regret it.

Without the filing wardrobe, it makes the study room a little spacious

Let's Have A Little Tour - Part Three

It will be one month in two days' time.  We are settling down well.  The house is so much organized now.  Still, there are outstanding works - the acrylic and kitchen rails have not been fixed.  Chiauw still cannot get the acrylic right and, in her last statement, trying up on mockup.

It is peaceful where we are today.  Reiki Sanctuary envelopes us with the solitary way of life.  A life that is essentially hidden with nothing to suggest an extrovert social identity.  It is, probably, a prophetic sign in its solitude, simple unobtrusiveness and silence.  Not that we are running away and ostracize our social interactions but Reiki Sanctuary integrates a closer sense of the Universe within.  It is here, and with respect to Hertford, that the real purpose is to present an inner outline of what we have learned.

We let friends to be who they are.  What they want to think of us.  Life is really an expression of consciousness that we create our own world.  We let events capture our interests and lead us to a continual search for answers to life's mystery.  Just as the Universe is always watching and knows all, we choose to let life to be in her infinite potential.

Reiki Sanctuary is a discovery with a distinct characteristic, 'You are all alone'.  It is not about loneliness but a journey only we will know it ourselves.  Just as life is intended to be.  Eventually, we will return to the starting point, either willingly or unwillingly, sooner or later, and those choices are ours.

We miss Hertford just as we miss the good old days.  We miss them all.  Hopefully, we had nurtured what was for the highest good and letting love to engage in its flow.  We welcome the universal synchronistic co-incidences to guide for what shall be good to us.  We are dealing with life with a whole and the parts may seem an odd fit until they begin to gel.  Guess, at which time, the critical nature will be of use to avoid taking everything in our lives for granted.

For now, time for more Reiki Sanctuary's pictures.  *Bleah*:

Welcome to the Master Bedroom

.. and where we rest our soul

.. and how we prolong the night with the curtain

.. and how we entertain ourselves, away from physical outside world

.. and how, shamelessly, we shower and, oops, do our businessThe acrylic boxes that are meant to cover all the lights are still not fixed yet.

The Foreign Talent

Thanks to a friend, Ben, who was kind enough lugging this little gadget all the way from USA and made our lives kinda easier, now.  Haha, ok - we know it is bulky and not making you to travel in style but Thank You! Thank You!  We appreciate the kind gesture.  We are thankful for your time, your effort and all the running just to make sure you were getting us the right thing.  Plus, all the overseas call to ensure the correct purchase.

Also, "Thank You" to another friend, Weng, who introduced us to this Foreign Talent.  And for your kindness to loan us your personal set just to make sure that we would be comfortable before we purchased it.

Miss iRobot Roomba, our new Foreign Talent, is an envy to all the maids in Reiki Sanctuary.  It surely makes Mr Vax redundant and fearing retrenchment.  The partners, Missy Broom and Mr Dustpan are now less employed and, once they were such loyal companion, are now idling most of the time.  Simply, Miss Roomba has taken over all their primary duties.

Once, they were the king of the house:

01.  Mr Vax

02.  Missy Broom, Mr Dustpan and Madam Moppie

Miss Roomba as she sings her way doing her daily job happily:

Though she does ease us and provided few hours of free time daily, this new missy has an attitude.  Alright, she allows us to sit back but geez!, she scratches the walls and leaves marks all over.

.. and this is how special she is with her 'bed' in the guest room!

Note to OCDs:

Miss Roomba cleans but don't expect a spic and span result.  She cannot reach deep corners.  She is not a stain remover.  She can aggravate your vertigo when you continously watch her cleaning the floor.  She is not to be used when you are doing your meditation.

BUT, she is the best companion when age has caught on you.  When you are getting lazier.  When you want to spend more time surfing the internet.  And when you don't mind the coffee stains on the floor.

Life Anew

It has been a good three weeks, albeit all the labourious unpacking, sorting, tidying and arranging stuffs in Reiki Sanctuary.  Though there are still outstanding works, and we are still waiting for Chiauw to complete them, we are able to live here comfortably.

Nonetheless, we decided not to focus on the outstanding works after we had done chasing Chiauw last week.  It was not convenient having workers around the house when we have already moved in.  It was hard doing our own stuffs when they were here.  Firstly, the inconvenience evolved the waiting period and, at times, the appointment kept changing.  Then, there were the mess and the dusts.  Our last note to Chiauw was to expedite these works and a hope to put an end to it.  It was not about anxiety nor impatient scowl but for a life anew.  For us to move on.  We still have these outstanding works:

01.  Acrylic for Living Room TV Console, Dining Room wall ledges and the MBR Toilet light boxes

02.  Kitchen Towel rail

03.  Kitchen Shelf cum rail

04.  Sealing/coating of tiles in Guest and Master Toilets.

Reiki Sanctuary is, slowly, transforming into the dream home for us.  Each corner of the house is now organized the way we want it to be.  It is good to have a lot of storage spaces.  It makes it easy for everything within Reiki Sanctuary, and all the things therein, to have their own place.  It took us awhile, patiently, ensuring for a neat and uncluttered organization.

Perhaps, it is the new thing.  The fresh energy.  With everything new, and just as in life, we can get easily overwhelmed.  Every attention is magnified.  Every small things enlarged.  Every acquisition glorified.  Every experience surpassed all restrictions and limitations and, in our unconscious fool mindedness, we set a new soul fulfillment and open another destiny plan.  Still, we pray for guides and further understanding of why we are here and what our soul gifts are.

The days never fail to end with us feeling physically tired.  But we are happy.  We are constantly flow with the energy of peace.  Of one that calls for harmony of mind and soul.  Guess, in the process of beautifying Reiki Sanctuary, it is also about soul clearing within us.

Layers of our past are cleared and released energetically when we re-start our life in Reiki Sanctuary.  She is like having a psychic vacuum.  She heals us of any unconscious attachments.  Even though we could be physically tired, our souls benefit from subtle phenomenal changes.  We experience inner peace and serenity and there is a shift to a higher level of consciousness.

There is often a need, by choice, to let our souls into new incarnation and acquiring higher dimensions.  We are allowing our inhibiting thought patterns to surface and, without resistance, to release and remove by openly talking about them.  It is a wonder how the divine connection into the space around us, in our love for Reiki Sanctuary, brought resources of light that immediately translates into our new mental and emotional experiences.

Reiki Sanctuary has created stillness within us.  It is her greatest gift to welcome us.  She is a sanctuary where the nowness has to offer.  It is said that 'Stillness' is where all of creation begins and that everything imaginable and unimaginable is created from it.  Everyday, for the last three weeks or so, there is this stillness energy growing in us.  Our senses grow and we are becoming more aware of our surroundings.

In stillness, we are doing nothing yet everything and anything.  It is an evolution of creation.  It is, indeed, a spiritual awakening at this point.  It is the greatest of gifts we are giving ourselves - that of self love.

Reiki Sanctuary is a journey home.  A mountain that exists directly for us to experience the magnificence of that world and the angelic friends and family that are there with us, and for us, while we are here in this world.  We feel the profound love and connection we know with this world and those with us.  We relish the profound sense of homecoming that says, "Welcome home".
