Energy is all about awareness.  It is about inward thinking.  It is a philosophy and science.

The primary reason we decided to go ahead re-tiling the living and dining areas is about giving a new orientation to bring about more harmony and tranquility to Reiki Sanctuary.  Sacred spaces, by extension of everything that exists around us, create a living energy and content soul.  These elements, from which the Universe was created, vibrate the positive and negative forces that are in everyone's lives.

In creating your own sacred space, for your home or office or any dwelling places, it is important to organize the life forces.  If you want to write a story, you need an empty page.  If you want to fill new juice, you need an empty new glass.  The Law of Vacuum explains the key concept to map your sacred space to all that you desire - it is for an optimal flow for an orderly and harmonious space to an orderly and harmonious inner life which is so necessary for good health of the body, mind and soul.

The co-incidental lost of tiles, left by our previous owners, was a subtle message of spirituality and efficiency.  It happened for good reason that best fits our unconscious constitution for inner peace.  With everything new, we are creating our own sacred space.  We are in charge of the life forces.  We are the author to convincingly champion the storyline.  We are literally saying, 'This is mine.  This is what I want.'  It will be a mirror of ourselves, through it we can interface with the abundance of the universe.

We do get affected when things do not go our way.  It always has to do with our expectation - the hopes that we built, the results that we desired and the wishful actions and reactions we anticipated.  Admittedly, we were a little disappointed when the tiles went missing.  We were denying ourselves towards the universe abundance, and all her gifts and blessings, just because we were very concerned with the increased renovation cost it could incur.

What we didn't realize was for bigger things to come - that we need to make sacrifices.  That we need to discover the need to plant a seed before it can grow into a huge tree.  We were focussing at the huge tree and forgot how and where it came from.  We can't never really find peace and joy, nor be able to give gratitude, if we choose not to recognise the source.

The beauty of a sacred space lies from the identity of inward thinking.  Fom the realization of compassion.  From the insightful essence of creativity and productivity.  From the revelation and acknowledgement of acceptance.  From the slightest and smallest gratitude to something larger than ourselves for greater purpose.  It is about creating an environment where a sense of the sacred can be realized in the details of our everyday lives, and in ourselves.

Creating this space becomes a search for meaning, or a process of discovering what has meaning.  It involves putting love, peace and joy - the spirituality, into physical form.  It is the wanting for the purity of life.

Only when we seek for the truth, that the truth will surface.  First, we need to abandon the act of desperation.  In desperation, we are often lost.  We get easily uptight.  We get easily stressed.  We lose the focus.  It builds up confusion.  It multiplies agitations.  At the end of it, it only fills us with a feeling of unhappiness.

When we have decided to move on, and when the soul and mind are at peace, every little things become clearer.  What's lost are found.  Mistakes are forgiven.  And the important lesson is about 'Let Go, Let God' to do what is necessary.  In 'Just Is', it will accord for the highest good for our well being.

We were not sure how the missing tiles were found.  We were only guessing that Chiauw must have gone back to the house to search in the morning.  When we received an SMS from Chiauw that the tiles were found this afternoon, we were thankful.  Now, we can close the subject peacefully.  However, we have decided to move on.  We had made the choice to hack the living and dining areas and to retile them.

We decided to call Chiauw rather than to reply the SMS.  It would be more personal.  It would be acknowledging friendship.  We knew Chiauw must have gone the extra mile to find the tiles.  Chiauw wanted to give us peace of mind.  Chiauw knew that we had made our mind to move on.

Guessed we did the right thing to ask Chiauw to go ahead to order the new tiles and to get a new renovation permit for the hacking.  Chiauw told us that the missing tiles were moved from the balcony and were found in between the false ceiling boards in the living room.  One of the two missing tiles was broken.  Obviously, someone is guilty.

It is a silent understood feeling.  From the moment we get the news about the missing tiles, we are drawn not to talk about it.  But deep within, we feel disappointed.  We feel rather disturbed.  There are many 'what', 'why', 'how' and 'when' in our mind.  The questions of what's next and when will our renovation ends lead us to a state of defensiveness.  There is an estranged discomfort.

Some of our friends feel that we are being too nice.  That we are too gentle.  That we give in too much.  Honestly, we are just unsure.  All of us have our stories to tell.  All of us want to make the wrong looks right.  All of us want to disown mistakes. 

Importantly, we want to keep our sanity.  We want to keep relationships.  We want to treasure good friends.  We want to abandon judgment.  We want to accept our insecurities.  Hence, we keep psyching ourselves that everything happen for a good reason - for now, we are damn hard-up to see that it is so.  Our prayers are getting loud and yet we are drowned in a flood of helplessness.

For all the troubles, that we are caught involuntarily, we can only hope that we are rewarded.  Let all these unnecessary pains lead us to a rainbow of joy.  The journey towards years of peace.  The happiness that will be eternal.  The love that empowers for a beautiful and magnificent life.

We have flushed our sorrow - though, fragments of it still linger.  When Chiauw came this afternoon to show us the tile for our living and dining rooms, there was a quiet dust of discomfort.  For the first time, we didn't make small talk.  We felt Chiauw was feeling bad and lousy too.  So, there were three of us in a room just didn't know what to say much to each other.  There was a sense of guilt.  There was a cry of helplessness.  There was a feeling of distraught.  Each one of us fighting hard in self comfort.

Looking back, it was good.  We shouldn't say anything.  Chiauw shouldn't say anything.  Though communication will ease our minds, and bridges all differences, words may not come right for now.  Pretending nothing has happened won't help either.  And, learning to deal with anger or disappointment will only make us stronger.  Above all, it is a call for life acceptance.  It is a call for clarity of choices.  It is the answer for love. 

We have come to accept and trust Chiauw.  We know she is always doing her best for us.  We deeply appreciate it.  We believe that we have always tried to make things easy .. not only for us but for Chiauw who have to face all kinds of business people.  We believe, for all things well, it has to start with give and take.  And respect.  And honesty.  We just have to learn and accept that people make mistakes, and so are we.

Chiauw has never treated us as clients.  We are her friends.  She is our friend.  We know we can rely on her.  We know she will be with us when we need her.  Just as there are always day and night, rain and shine, black and white, pain and joy .. we will appreciate, one day in our life in the future, about the missing tiles. 

An event that needs to happen for our friendship to go deeper.  All these discomforts are communicating a common language to make us understand our personality.  Our attitude.  Our tolerance.  Our character.  The language and its beauty for each of us to see and to strike a balance towards acceptance.

For now, we need to forgive ourselves for feeling this way.  We need to remind ourselves that we need each other.  Only when we put in all the energy together, with respect and love, and not forgetting the promises that were made, the trust that was installed and the relationship that we desired ..  that we will strive the bigger goal.

Hopefully, our application for hacking permit can be approved on Monday so that the tiles works can start on Tuesday.  The teakwood installation has been delayed again for now.

Why Are Our Hearts So Heavy ... Written by : Reiki Sanctuary Date : Friday, August 08, 2008

We woke up this morning .. despite the day being 080808 and we had few SMSes from friends to wish us 'May you be blessed with abundance, joy, fulfilment and most important unconditional love in your hearts' .. we had a kinda heavy feeling that something wasn't going to be right.

The morning went well with family members visited our place and agreed on few things that they would take after we moved out.  It settled our mind and one load off our shoulders.

Intuition is God's gift and it is important not to disregard it.  It's a message probably telling us to stay calm before the storm.  A subtle forewarned sign to still the mind and to let the heart at peace.  It notifies an early warning and prepared our souls - all in the name of love.

And so, we were deciding what to do for the rest of the day.  We hope to settle few important things.  Ah, and just as we were in the midst of prioritizing plans, Chiauw had to call and dropped us the bomb.

Chiauw:  I am at the site now and I have bad news.

Us:  Oh no, what's new now?

Chiauw:  The spare tiles at the balcony are now missing  and I am interrogating the contractors of their whereabout.  I have searched the whole house and they are not to be found.

Us:  We saw them last week.  They were still at the balcony.  Didn't take notice of them yesterday when we were with you at the site.

And there's no point making guesses now.  No point pointing fingers.  No point to stay angry.  In reality, the fact remains that the spare tiles are lost.  We just need to move on.  We just need to focus on the solution.

The Universe mystifies things that we may not comprehend them.  Only when we accept that we will be rewarded.  We just have to surrender and stop struggling.  In all her mysterious ways, something good is being delivered .. something big is in store. 

Though we wanted to keep the existing tiles from the previous owner, we had second thoughts about it on several occasions.  The tiles were still in good condition as the previous owner had them installed recently.  To keep them for the living and dining area would also save us some costs. 

The Universe knows best and we should just have faith following our initial thought.  Deep within our hearts, we wanted everything new.  For what is happening now, the Universe wants to give us the peace of mind as we often feel that we should not keep an 'old energy' from the previous owner.  We should give Reiki Sanctuary a new soul and, in doing so, we are set free.

During the first week of renovation, SanMei's contractors had chipped parts of the tiles even after Uncle Chong had done a good job to lay protection planks all over the area.  It is understandable that extra fine precision works must be given in cutting the edges and, in fact, they had done good job.  Where the tiles were affected, we had re-designed the area:

Intially, there were some parts chipped off near the door.  As there are no more extra tiles from the previous owner, we decided to expand the area and to lay teakwood instead.

We had the tiler to cut a bigger area and he did a very good job.  We can actually continue with the teakwood here.

Chiauw has given us few options:

01.  To lay teakwood all around the dining area or
02.  To lay the black tiles continuing from kitchen up to the 'correction area' to dining.

We have decided to retile the whole Living and Dining areas.  We want to move on.  Though Chiauw is still negotiating for compensation with the current contractors - those assigned to work onsite this week, where she felt would be responsible for the missing tiles, we are not going to let today dragged us any further.

We will be thankful should we get a compensation.  We had actually paid Uncle Chong for the protection planks.  At the same time, the days for renovation permit are numbered.  Next, we anticipate headache choosing the right tiles.

We can only pray now and to bring back smile in our hearts.  Afterall, as in all our SMS messages received from our friends today - Let us be blessed with abundance, joy, fulfulment .. and let us have unconditional love to forgive the events, the people.

Those are words from the Universe .. those are messages that prepared us for the day.  We must accept its kindness, and love, and look at the brighter side.  No one is to be blamed .. afterall, we had actually unknowingly verbalised to the Universe what we wanted for Reiki Sanctuary. 

It was very subtle but we were actually struggling with our wants and needs.  What we truly wanted was for Reiki Sanctuary to breathe from all things new.  And now, we just have to honour that the Universe is giving it to us.  It is, definitely, a work of the the Universe to pour us with blessings.
