From Hertford to Reiki Sanctuary, we are filled with mess.  We keep telling ourselves that it's a pretty normal thing since we are moving out.  And, at the opposite end of our life now, Reiki Sanctuary is undergoing major renovation to get ready for us to move in.  Which, the day could be anytime towards the end of this month.  It's a matter of weeks now.  It will be the start of a new life.

For now, we hope the mess is not an excuse for our laziness, of not leading our normal life, but an excuse for a conscious effort of clarity and focus.  That we create a positive energy of detachment and to think that we are conserving our energy for a proper time, nearer to us moving out, to sort things out. 

We are, definitely, not accustomed in the beginning.  Mess is sprouting anywhere and everywhere and at all time.  Perhaps, it is reflecting our initial thoughts of confusion.  Of the anxiety of new possibilities.  Of uncertainty for the infinite correlation.  Of a new orchestra of space-time events to bring about the outcome that is intended for us.

We let our mind to detach from the daily consciousness of orderliness.  And attachment.  This is to release us from becoming a prisoner of helplessness.  Of hopelessness.  Of mundane needs and trivial concerns.  Of quiet desperation and seriousness. 

In relinquishing our attachment to the daily chores, to the tidy Hertford that it used to be, we are stepping into the consciousness of an unknown territory of mess.  We open our mind into the field of all possibilities.  We are inviting the magic of life, the celebration of opposites, the exhilaraton of spirits and the exultation for the law of vacuum to come.

The mess has been an endless sight right from the very beginning when we decided to uproot.  It takes a certain amount of realization, and faith, that we are going to release many things and replace with something of equal or greater value. 

It is the letting go that is a little hard.  Perhaps, this is the unknown energy that results in us to let Hertford in a such a messy place.  It is our attachment to all the things in here.  For they have served us well.  With their love.  With their abundance.  With their joy.  We have greatly relied our entire life to everything within.

While Hertford is all about letting go, and detachment, Reiki Sanctuary overcomes the mess in a more dynamic development.  Renovation works, that filled with lots of dust and chaotic renovation materials, are properly planned.  Thanks to Chiauw who insisted to all the contractors that they tidy the place at the end of each working day.  Everyday, the contractors will pile their things in one place and to sweep away the mess they created.  It is the way we want it too.

Simply, it is about awareness for creating space.  The universe cannot put good into our hand, only until we let go of what we are holding in it.  The nature of the universe, being filled with infinite abundance, shudders a vacuum.  It always will fill it with something. 

Just like when we walk down the beach, we leave footprints in the sand.  But give the wind and the waves a few minutes, and those tracks will be filled in again.  Just as vegetation will cover a field and an agenda expands to the time budgetted for a meeting.

When Chiauw got all the contractors to co-operate, there is a tide of positive energy filling into the vacuum and the consciousness to attract the space for peace of mind instilled.  What we like about her style is, she allocates and demarcates each trade into one room for the workers to place their things at the end of the day.  Like the left-over unfinished paints in the guest room, the unfinished works of the ceiling guys in the living room and the unfinished works flooring contractors in the dining area.  It is in an organized mindset, and planned intention, that the law of vacuum resonates to the fullest.

It is such a practice that will give way to better outcomes.  Better rewards.  We are, through her systematic acts, surrounded by good things everywhere.  It is, definitely, a self fulfilling breakthrough for us to achieve our dreams.  And dreams are a reality to those who believe in them.  We do! 

The Law of Vacuum loves space and, forever, waiting to fill it up.  If we want greater good, greater prosperity in our life, we have to start forming a vacuum to receive it.  We have to get rid of what we do not want and to make room for what we want.  This philosophy applies to all of our personal style, our personal growth and for our self development.

To make room for all things good, we must learn to give up and to let go.  As we give up and cast away old ideas and attitudes, old possessions, and put in their place new ideas, our conditions will steadily improve.

Do not hinder our advance or stop it by holding onto the old.  We just have to embrace the new.

As we advance confidently in the direction of our dreams, and endeavour to live the life we have imagined, success will come to us unexpectedly in common hours.

With the fresh new look, Reiki Sanctuary is just so stunningly beautiful.  Clean.  Elegant.  Smooth.  Her colour brightens up our life every time we just look at it.  Every time we are surrounded by it.  Every time we touch it, we feel this static, this feeling where we could reach for the sky.

It is our choice colour.  A colourised aura of intense energy of calmness, serenity and tranquility.  It is how we like it.  It is how we manifest our life shall be.  It is how we want it to be.  It is, in the sea of many choices, we know that you are just the right one.  You are just a great joy to watch, to feel and such a peaceful palette of colour adorning Reiki Sanctuary with your purity.  It will be forever, it has to be forever.

We didn't have much hesitation when choosing the wall colour for Reiki Sanctuary.  Right from the very beginning, we are focussed to have a colour of purity and innocence - white.  We are set with our desires and the goal that we want to achieve.  It has to be a colour to fill with a deep sense of purpose.  A colour that will, in her subtle spiritual consciousness, signify for a clear mindset.  A wishful pool of values.  A thousand dreams fulfilled.  A courageous development.  A loving understanding.  One hope.

With her pure 'Frosted Dawn' palette, it will compliment all the furniture and furnishings in the house.  We just don't have to worry placing an item, anywhere in the house, and fear that it will clash with the wall colour.  That's the beauty of having a white - but, in our case a slightly off-white, wall.  You just make everything beautiful in your presence.  You just beautify and give life to all the things around you.  In some metaphysics, white is the colour of completion, of ultimate wisdom and of assimilation of all life lessons.

White, to some human eye, can also be blinding.  That's the beauty of it.  The colour is just full of purity, cleanliness and innocence.  In most cases, white is seen as a neutral background colour and other colours, even when used in smaller proportion, are the colours that convey the most meaning in a design.

Right from the beginning, back to the early Drawing Board's days with Chiauw, the goal is to have a plain white wall.  It is fixed in our mind.  In our heart.  We envisioned it would be a choice colour that will greatly reflect simplicity.  A colour that, somehow, makes a small area looks bigger, wider and spacious.  Guess, that's what we are seeking in our life too.  In the purity of the mind, and in the simpliciity of the soul, we want it to be filled with the vastness of hopes and faiths.  To let it expand in life abundance, wrapped in majestic values, yet simple and full of tranquility.

Now that we have found you, though it comes with an off-white texture, it still soothes our psyche and continually spreads loving vibrations in our hearts.  In all our loving awareness - in this wonderful journey, we want to remind ourselves to keep you the way you are.  To let you shine the way you are supposed to be.  To let you feel free yet wanted.  To let you filled with joy, with love and with peace.  To keep you warm and safe with our love.  To create a world where dreams are a part.  To remind us of the beauty of love, and of joy.  To respect, in your palette, a consciousness of crisp, pure, clean and fresh.  You are the colour of beginnings, as well as clear endings.

You will be the colour of our walls.  The balance to all things within.  You paint love all over our hearts.  And you brought out the colours of our life.  The shining softness of your colour just decorate our life.  And we just love you.

The painter painted our place last weekend applying the sealer to the whole house and mould guard to the entire house ceilings and kitchen area.  The walls were painted with ICI Dulux Light & Space "Frosted Dawn".  The second coating, or perhaps the third, will only be done before the hand-over of the place.

You Can Run But You Can't Hide Written by : Reiki Sanctuary Date : Monday, September 01, 2008

The first thing we notice - and perhaps, all the residents and visitors waiting for the lift at the gound floor of our block, is the sign 'Camera In Operation'.  It is an unusual sight for HDB.  It does not make us uncomfortable.  Rather, the sign gives us a sense of security.  An assurance.  A peace of mind.  It is a good feeling that someone is watching.

That's how our mind usually works.  When we know that our actions are watched, or quietly scrutinized, we are compelled to act our best.  We become aware of our interactions.  Our intentions.  Our habitual mode switches and we tend to take control of our own behaviour.  We psyche ourselves 'to behave' and to be the person we want to be.  It is like, we tell ourselves, 'Hey, God is watching.  Better be good.  Better be truthful.  Better be honest'.  Or like a child with the presence of the parents, he or she just feels comforted.  There is a sense of being guided.  There is a direction to take.  There is hope.

Surely the sign is there for a reason.  We believe it is to deter students from the nearby secondary school from loitering around after their school hours.  To go home and back to their families.  Ah, but it could be more than just that.  It is probably not only meant for the students but for residents and visitors alike.  It is a sign for us to engage into something useful.  Something worthwhile.  For whatever it is, the sign surely makes anyone to be in awareness.  To take charge of the thinking mind.  To sensitize the presence of being.  It guards our behaviour.  It aims to enforce proper social etiquette and set us into a caring environment.

Indeed, the sign was the early subtle indicative message worthwhile of our decision to get Reiki Sanctuary.  It will constantly remind us that we cannot escape from the emptiness in our lives.  That we can run but we cannot hide.  How much we want to believe that we are worthwhile and valuable, yet our emptiness and meaninglessness cannot escape.

It is also a psychological reminder for us to stay truthful.  To be honest.  To do good, not only to ourselves, but to others.  It is a sign for life lesson.  That it reminds us to continually motivate ourselves, and exercise self-help, and move towards humanistic psychology to take control of our own life.

It is having such a device that provides us with a good perspective and insight into our life.  In awareness, it reveals our habits and identifying message of truth.  When we find our true self that we shall discover a meaningful human relationship.  It uncovers superficiality and, at the same time, deepens respect.  It will alleviate our distress by transforming a thing of great ugliness into a thing of beauty.  It is a sign for us to love and appreciate each other.  To live life with honesty, integrity, decency and morality.

The beauty in life is all about walking each day to enjoy.  To interact.  To give.  To love.  To be honest.  To be truthful.  To be what God wants us to be.  It is with gratitude that this sign is there - as we pass it everyday, it will be a constant reminder to live our life honestly.  Because, it pays.
