Welcome To Reiki Sanctuary, The Blog

The Voices of My Soul

I enjoy writing. It relaxes me.
It makes me to take charge to nurture my mind and spirit.
It is far better than the burden of thinking and talking.
Writing is self discovery. Writing is a way towards my self-conviction:
I Become What I Think About. The Me I See, The Me I Will Be.

My writings are my way to communicate with the Universe.
They are my expressions of my inner voice. They are voices of my soul.
Often, they are about little prayers for my development, growth and well being.
Often, they are meant to shape my spirituality. [>> Click To Read More]

Love Keeps All Creations Together

God, Shine Your Rays of Light Into Me and So To All The People I Love

The one thing, and perhaps the only important thing, that I would allow my soul to nurture is to expand love in my Being.  But, before I let it to grow, it is important that I (must) know the life force energy it manifests.  It is important that I realize the fluid to how it flows and the crystallization it shapes.  The word 'Love' in itself is often misleading.  We often associate the word with the wonderful and majestic feeling of one that only encourages a joyful and peaceful state of being.

'Love' is a state of emotion.  Either we love to love or we love to hate.  Ironically, this state of emotion is never questioned.  When all things turn out good and well, we believe that we are doing them out of love.  When there is a happy ending, we are convinced there is the work of love at play.  We think that we have done the right thing and all things right.  Deep in our mind, we save the grace that we have achieved all perceptual, emotional and behavioral purposes to have done with the common language of love.   There is usually no question asked.

Love Is A Process of Growth

Reflecting on an intimate understanding of individual suffering.

This writing is dedicated to a dear friend, an indigo child, JH.  A person, in my opinion, who has so much love without realizing it much.  An individual that is seemingly peaceful.  JH is a warmhearted friend, a loving son and an affectionate soul.  The content of this writing is not about his shortfall (in the first place, I cannot even find anything negative about this special earthly angel) but more a reflection of his spiritually nurturing love.  Thank You for the life lesson that you bring forth.  May your life forward, JH be forever blessed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Often, when we think of love, the first thing that pops in our mind is struggle.  One may further add the helpless feeling of hurt and illusion.  As long as life goes on and we continue to live, Love to many could be like a bird often with a fractured wing.  That, one can only have love after going through a series of ups and downs.  That, one can only own love after going through rituals and acquiring its arts.  Rarely we will think that love is the vehicle of growth.

What A Wonderful, Wonderful ...

Today is manana.

Yup, it was a wonderful week last week.  The past several days had been really filled with blessings.  Yes! that much I would want to feel, that much I would want to acknowledge.  Yes, this much I make no bones about the layers of tranquility that each passing day had greeted me.  Though there were not much of activities and excitement nor that I had taken any vacations - they were just any other days, but my soul was inundated with joy of the extraordinaire.  I felt so much peaceful with myself and there was a greeting sense of life.

Words can hardly describe the blissful state of my mind that I was experiencing.  To some, they would probably pass a remark that I had gone kinda mad.  Kinda weird.  Kinda scary.  There would always be a value judgment related to all aspect of living and it would be of no difference with what I had in mind to share it here.  It is a natural one's first emotional judgement about such 'ab-normality' (if one is to choose along this thinking pattern) long before the capacity to rationally judge such an occurence to be related with the Law of the Universe.  That our soul evolves, and should always evolve with time.

Last week, somehow, I felt an elevation with the way I viewed things around me.  When someone was talking to me, I felt there was a three-dimensional personality of that individual.  There was the presence of his physical Being, his Ego and his Higher Self appearing simultaneously at the same time.  I could literally 'see' these three energies of him appearing separately.  To my surprise, as I engaged in the conversation, I could literally 'hear' my Being, my Ego and my Higher Self.

LUP works in progress, just outside Reiki Sanctuary

Then, there was a division of two worlds in and out of Reiki Sanctuary.  When I felt so much accomplished inside, there was a world of confusion outside.  The Lift Upgrading Project (LUP as HDB named it) had just started on my area.  Dust and noise were unbearable daily occurences with so much hacking and drilling works could start as early as eight in the morning.  For an OCD like me, this was a disruption and that I should even feel more so to spruce up Reiki Sanctuary.  But, it amazed me at how I could calmly accept it and letting the activities outside to be a non-weighty entity separated from my soul.

Interestingly, during a group outing to Singapore Flyer (gratitude to JH to arrange it), I saw this signage.  For unknown Universal nudge, I snapped it and today, it just makes sense.  Ironically, the 'Arrow' points upwards -- hmm, Elevated Journey begins?

Somehow, my mind went through a process of taking isolated ideas and consolidating them into a unified whole.  It was taking, and importantly accepting, little things that I knew and making a bigger picture out of them.  It was good just to observe the situations and not to be influenced internally and emotionally.  I was, in the metaphysical view of thoughts, went through a state of emotional integration.  It was, as though, all that I had known become a simple emotional evaluation about every aspects of life.

The week started with a decision that I had finally made.  It was not easy but it was greatly encouraged and motivated by a group of loving individuals.  I was overwhelmed by, and deeply grateful to, these few individuals who really radiated their true souls and shining bright.  Who deserved to be loved and to be highly respected.  I was deeply touched by their love.  I should count on my blessings.

Last week, I decided to go through a minor surgery to remove a lipoma, a fatty tumor, on the elbow of my left hand.  I had been having it for the past ten years or so.  Started from just a small growth, it was about 5 by 5 cm when it was finally removed on 8th of June.  I knew it was non-cancerous as I had it examined before.  But, little that I knew, the growth was growing to such a big scale.

The MRI report showed that the growth was not from a nerve though it had grown so huge and pressing on the nerves below it.  This lab report eased my mind as I would not want to go through a surgery should it had been related to my nerves.  Obviously, I had my own reasons and these reasons may not sound logical and rational.  Another lab report came back, after the surgery, that the lipoma confirmed to be benign.

I had endured the pains on my left hand for months.  Sometimes it could be rather intensed from the shoulder area and all the way to my wrist.  Somehow, the lipoma had pressed on the nerves beneath it that it triggered pains to other parts of my body too.  The pain gravitated all the way to my lower back and the left leg.

Perhaps, the changes - this emotional integration, that I had been going through had to do with the surgery.  It had to do with the letting go of my own resistance.  Of my silent fear.  Ironically, a day before the surgery, I had an interesting conversation with another friend.  It was as though the Universe had arranged it for me to receive some words of wisdom.  It was a scene that exemplify as a conversation with God.

This friend shared with me about her personal problems.  She was sharing with me about her life progress but she insisted it was more a regression.  It was interesting just to hear her that day.  For whatever she was sharing, she knew and cited the Law of Opposites.  She accepted that every out must have an in, every low swing must have a high swing, what rises must fall and what falls must rise.

That afternoon, our meeting reminded me of Neal Donald Walsch's book "Happier Than God".  In his book, he identified the five great Principles of Life:

01.  The Energy of Attraction, which gives us power

02. The Law of Opposites, which gives us opportunity

03.  The Gift of Wisdom, which gives us discernment

04.  The Joy of Wonder, which gives us imagination

05.  The Presence of Cycles, which gives us eternity.

What made it more real was when she actualized with what Neal wrote, "The Law of Opposites works in perfect harmony with the Energy of Attraction.  This principle states that no sooner will you call something into your reality than it's exact opposite will also appear, and always first".

That afternoon, I felt that I had been given a chance to engage with God's light which came through her.  For once, in many of my counselling sessions, I didn't have to do much but just listening.  At the end of the meeting, she made a remarkable remark that stayed with me - "Perhaps, I had been focussing so much on the mistakes, that I have been making, that I pushed away the bigger pictures of what I had been wanting to achieve".

That sentence somehow struck me.  It was, as though, she had been sent by God to give me a tight slap on my face to wake up.  It was a pure co-incidental moment since I had just made the decision to go through with the surgery.  Perhaps, it was the synchronicity of all these events that changed my soul vibrations.  I remembered waking up two hours later from the general anaesthesia, which was administered before the surgery, that there was something that had been released out of my soul, out of my body.  Something that did not belong to me and had set me free.  Though, I had a passing feeling where something was missing  but yet, for the bigger picture, I knew it was for good reasons.

I exercised on what my friend's wisdom again when my friends and I went for the PC show the other day.  Perhaps, the Universe had arranged it for me to experience my new lesson.  Perhaps, the Universe had wanted to see how much I had understood the process towards integration.  Afterall, words without exercising nor owning them  would just be words - plain useless.  The knowledge, when one felt could change life, must be integrated by fundamentals or, otherwise, it would not be useful.

It made a big difference.  It was said that the show would be crowded, and it was.  There were others who told me to avoid going since it was the last day of the show.  It was a Sunday.  The wisdom that I had wanted to learn brought a new height of understanding and clarity about reality.

When I told myself to focus on the bigger picture (of getting the things we wanted to get) and not on the crowd, my friends and I managed to get all the stuffs without hassles.  It actually surprised me when my friends and I were out of the Singtel booth with our purchases within fifteen minutes.  We managed to get other things without having to queue.  Importantly, amidst the huge crowd, we were served well and all our queries about the products that we wanted to get were addressed effectively at every booths.  We were out of the show within two hours.

Looking back, it was a lesson where many of us would, probably and likely, to go through life not capable to make emotional evaluations for our higher purpose.  Unconsciously, we allow this process to form in our subconscious level.  It becomes an automatic process where we equate good and bad to be life virtues without having an understanding to take isolated ideas and consolidating them into a bigger unified whole.  We all feel emotions.  We have all experienced them - Love, hate, fear, envy.  But we fail to allow our experiences to form a higher value, of higher fundamentals, to what we feel.  We fail to place a belief and the understanding for knowing how to integrate.

As I flipped open on the Book of Insight - A Guide for the Advanced Soul, this page came to reassure me:

"Peace of mind comes from not wanting to change others, but by simply accepting them as they are.  True acceptance is always without demands and expectations."
Gerald G Jampolsky on Love is Letting Go Of Fear

"The snow goose need not bathe to make itself white.  Neither need you do anything but be yourself"
Lao-Tse

I have constantly believed that everything that is to happen, happens for VERY good reasons.  And, on this note, YES! I have indeed changed.  It may be uncomfortable to others, it may be taken and viewed wrongly by others.

My dearest indigo friend, JH once said that I have become rather 'harsh' with my words and has constantly asked "Are you alright?" whenever we chat.  I believe that it has to do with my changing energetical vibrations that made him, unconsciously, feels that there is something wrong, when there are actually changes only for the very good reasons.  Without him realizing it, his Higher Self just wants to make sure that my soul is comfortable.   I have highest respect for him - a soul that is always full of love.

Soul Shifts

The God in me greets the God in you.

The beautiful thing about The Serenity Prayer written by the theologian Reinhold Niebuhr, it is to remind us how fragile we can be as an individual.  We are not that perfect beings who, to some, may think we are.  Having said that, Yes!, we are given the gifts of God to create our reality according to our beliefs.  When we know we want it, we have it.  There are no limitations to the self except those we believe in.

I like it best if only I can keep reminding myself on this beautiful Serenity Prayer everyday.  With greater awareness.  With profound consciousness.  That, I shall pass through the day, everyday, with open eyes.  That, I shall pass through the day, everyday, with an acceptance that I make mistakes in life.  That, I will keep to make mistakes.  That, I am not perfect.  That, I am not as smart as I would like to think.

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference."

The Spiral of Life

Mistakes are inevitable and they are, supposedly, be our learning lessons towards wisdom.  We tend to learn wisdom from failure much more than from success.   They are discovered through our sorrows, our fears, our anger, our disappointments.  We often discover what will do by finding out what will not do.  If only we learn to embrace these negative energies as the shining light, as the lamp posts, they shall be the door to open towards our wellness for our higher self.  If only we keep on reminding ourselves that we are capable of failures for something good in return.

Every issue, every belief, every attitude or assumption is precisely the issue that stands between us and our relationship to another human being.  And between us and ourselves.  When we depend on someone for our happiness, we are becoming a slave.  We are becoming dependent.  We are creating a bondage.

The thing is, it is how we want to view ourselves.  Are we a giver, the taker or just another intimidator?  We must constantly be aware with the wheels of life.  We go through the ups and downs so that we can understand the process of life energy.  There is a place for reflection and there is another for breeding our ego.  We must be conscious of our control dramas in life.  Ultimately, we must learn to gain energy from the Universal Source.

We should learn not to force anything; let life be a deep let go.  It is just how we learn to see the beauty with the nature - millions of flowers are opened without forcing the buds every day.

We react to situations in life based on our experiences.  Based on our perception.  When something strikes us as beautiful, it displays more presence and sharpness.  It stands out.  It shines.  In contrast, when something not so good strikes us, we become disconnected.  There is judgement and disappointment.  We cannot seem to disentangle our negative perception towards the larger source of purpose.  Much often, we have cut ourselves off and so have felt weak, insecure and lacking.

When a person engages another in a conversation, one of two things can happen - That person can come away feeling stronger or weaker.  The subconscious mind prepares ourselves to say whatever we must in order to prevail in the conversation.  Then, there is a subtle feeling where each of us will seek to find some way to control and thus remain on top in the encounter.  If we are successful, if our viewpoint prevails, we receive a psychological boost.

Often, little that we realize that we are in a constant hunt for someone else's energy.  We move along in life where we keep telling ourselves that the fittest survives.  We fill up at the other's expense and the filling up is what motivates us.  Our particular style of controlling, as we have to realize it, is one we learned from our childhood to get attention.  To get for our personality to be accepted.

We must learn to gain insight from another.  When we decide on a choice to interact with the social mass, we must learn to sit back and listen.  We must learn to accept all the good and not-so-good.  When a finger is pointing out, there are four remaining fingers seeking for our soul shifts towards reflection.  A change can only be felt when we change within.

When we want to see change, we need to shift the paradigm and to open our consciousness.  Change will not happen when we are not going to shift that paradigm nor change our perception.  When we are not going to shift our consciousness, and awareness, we lose the sense of appreciation.  Only when we learn to appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of things, to accept and receive the energy as it comes, we open the path to our real identity.

Finding our true self, our real identity, we need to review on our life patterns.  We need to observe for the repetitive experiences that have kept us from our energy conflicts.  There is a problem should we keep falling into the pits for self pity.  Where negative event keeps going in circle.

There is a bigger problem should we are unable to accept the beauty in life.  When we look closely at all the things that have happened to us since birth, if we view our life as one story, we will be able to see how we have been working on this pattern all along.

Our daily thoughts, the daily happenings and experiences, carry important messages.  We just need to recognize them.  To do so, we need to take an observer position.  Only when we are ready to accept, when we pay a little bit more attention and taking it from the observer position and from an untroubled spirit, the story of these messages become the story of purpose to our life.

Self knowledge and self improvement are very difficult for most people.  It usually needs great courage and long struggle before we could chance on the realization.  The truth about our spiritual mission is as important as the evolution of the Universe itself.  Once we learn what life is about, there is no way to erase the knowledge.  When we try to do something else with our life, we will always sense that we are missing something.

Do we feel love everyday?  We are souls that contain the potential for everything within us.  Until we can understand that nothing can happen to us, nothing can ever come to us or be kept away, love alone can unite living beings .  It embraces the totality of men and of the earth.  We just have to stay conscious of this process in order for it to work.  This is especially important when we interact with another.  We just have to stay full, stay in a state of love.

It is not a surprise that all the answers to our life questions come to us from other people.  However, the first rule is to keep our heart away from judgement.  Have an open mind, have an open heart.  We must, in order for the answers to be received, keep projecting positive energy into that person to help us to see about the truth.  We must honour this interpersonal ethic and treat others with love and respect.  How we approach other people determines how we evolve.  Subsequently, how quickly our life questions can be answered.

When we appreciate the shape and demeanor of another person, the more we appreciate their wholeness and their inner beauty, we are taking in the positive.  When we attack apparent negativity with negativity, we merely feed and inflame the source.  We should focus to live life with love, or at least to send kind thoughts to everything.  Doing so, it will change our life events before our very eyes.

Our being changes as our vibrations change.  There is little sense in attempting to change external conditions.  We must first change inner beliefs then outer conditions will change accordingly.

The best thing that can ever happen to us is to love life, to love it even while we think we suffer.  Because life is ALL.  We may not know what our destiny will be but the one thing that I do believe is, the only ones among us who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.

In the words of David Jansen, 'People with high self esteem have it because they have overcome their failures.  They have been put to the test of life, overcome the problems and grown'.

Show Me The Meaning Of Love

Quote from Dalai Lama:

"If you only think of yourself, your mind gets smaller, narrower. Then even small problems seem big.

But if you think about others, your mind is larger, more vast. Then even big problems don't seem impossible."

I am a believer that love is all around us.  Love never eludes us.  Love never abandons us.  It has always been there, even in our darkest hours.  Even in our blackest hours.  Yes, and for argument sake - but please do know of my strong conviction and affirmation in the concept of Absolute Love - I must agree that Love can seem to elude amongst many of us. Nevertheless, love would always call to us all.

Mahatma Gandhi said "Love never claims, it never gives.  Love ever suffers, never resents, never revenges itself".  Spoken from a great individual, Mother Teresa, she said "we have not come into the world to be a number, we have been created for a purpose, for great things: To love and be loved".

But why do many of us feel that we often live in loneliness and that we keep chasing after a rainbow that seems so far fetched?  Perhaps, it is the familiar that usually eludes us in life?  What is before our nose is what we see last?

The battle (let's just use this extreme word to describe our sense of loneliness) that so often we are fighting are shared by all of us.  I hear them often, from the young to the old.  From a tea conversation to online lamentation of a cry of sadness and disappointments.  Of the lack off and the absence of love in some individuals.

We often fool ourselves to think that it is uniquely our own.  We create a dominant thought to disgrace ourselves from not deserving to be loved.  From the psychological delusional bamboozled of falling in love and to love in return.

Then, there are people that will not stop finding love even if love hurts them so much.  Question is, if love hurts, and it is so painful, why do we still want it?  Why do we take the risk of a heartbreak after experiencing it over and over again?

For love to be Just Love, we need to expand the consciousness within us.  We need to have it planted into our sub-conscious mind.  For it to expand outside our thinking realm, into our awareness and actions.  To let the energetic vibrations to flow with the natural process of life.  We need to leave behind our expectations and not allowing them to interfere with this natural flow.

We need to manage our expectations.  We need to know that we are a seed of love.  We need to understand the psychology of love.  Falling in love is a magical experience that happens between people.  Love is an emotional bond between any individuals - like with parents, siblings, friends and partner.  We need to share our feelings and care and affection from someone so that we feel precious.  Love is psychologically and socially necessary for every individual.

Our primary motivation as human beings is to expand the self and to increase our abilities and our effectiveness.  There is no limit to love.  It is this wonder that we strive for it even more.  We have to constantly take chances, even after being rejected and losing that love when things do not work out.  The saddest thing to happen to life is when we can no longer take the risk, that we harden our heart to the caring of others and expect them to reject and hurt us.

Love never dies a natural death.  However, it dies from our neglect and abandonment.  It dies from our blindness and indifference and of being taken for granted.  Eventually, love dies of weariness and from not being nurtured.  It is said that the great tragedy of life is not that men perish but that they cease to love.

We should strive to live our lives to continue to seek love, and be Love.  We should not allow the energy of love to subside nor to let it dimmed our essence of life.  As long as we continue to love, some failure is bound to occur.

However, love itself has no failures.  To be unsuccessful is not the same as failure.  Our disappointment is more likely to provide us an opportunity to learn and to grow.  There is no failure except in us no longer trying.  The good thing is, we would always gain wisdom more readily through our failures than through our successes.

I strongly believe that all of us often are in search of love, of what love is truly is.  Of its emotion that will lead us to happiness.  Of a spontenous feeling of inner peace, joy and contentment which is the result of introspection when we turn within and contact with the seed of love in our inner nature.

Unfortunately, there are some that choose to think rather dominantly that love and happiness often elude them.  The sociology of our life often makes us much a negative individual rather than to be positive.  When our desires are not fulfilled, we fault love.  We become unhappy.  We blame cirumstances but never ourselves.  Little do we want to accept our attitude, our consciousness.  It is always easy for us to feel disheartened.

The beauty with love is that it finds us.  It will always find us.  It is an inherent quality of the soul but we can only embrace it when we have a true perception of our soul nature.  We need to realize and recognize that our life is also governed with the Law of Cause and Effect, that in some ways, we are here on Mother Earth governed by our Karma.

While we are liquidating past debts, we are often sowing seeds for our future harvest too.  We should try to attain to the right perception of existing things by acquiring the right knowledge.  It is this knowledge that will bring us the solace and comfort.

Live and let live.  Live and Let God.  Love is the only essence of life and the light of our soul.  With love, we feel more alive.  Love brings enchantment, enthusiaism and that boost of energy to do something extra in life.  With love, every possibilities and every opportunites are open.  Of course, it does bring about the duality of life where fears and worries will come along too.

Love that never ends is Love.

.. and I love you ...

No Expiry Date

Recently, I was asked to mediate a relationship with a goal to meet on a respectable level field and for a story to be told, to be listened to and to be heard.  It was about finding a worthy opportunity for settlement, for an amicable reconciliation, and for everything considerate to gain.  For a renewed commitment to bridge differences and to stay true, in all its tenderness and care, to each of the parties involved and for each other.  Mediation is a conviction filled with deserving worth, merit and value and never a sign of weakness for any couple who seeks the beauty and essence of a good relationship to become stronger and healthier.

A failed relationship can often end, without having desirable and positive qualities, into a state of no man's land between the traumatic life events of every man.  Worse, when a couple living under one roof is no longer able to maintain connections.  Or, when a couple insists each of his/her own way is the right one, making a determined belief for and on his/her rights, and closed all forms of communication.

Relationship presents complex dynamics and, often, it is common for conflicts to happen.  The success of a relationship is a function of the extent to which it meets the needs of the people.  We cannot control the way a partner acts but we can control how we react to a situation.  It takes a lifetime for a person to know his partner and no one should fool himself to claim otherwise.  It can only bring about disharmony when one starts to think that he knows another too well.

By the same dogma, if we could all become a better story teller, it would be easier to know ourselves and also share our ideas.  Fact is, we are constantly the strangers to ourselves.  There would always be surprises at what we know [or don't] about our own strengths and weaknesses and how we react differently towards them everytime everyday.  How then could it be a right thing for each one of us to say that we can fully understand another person well?  We don't even know how, at most time and at every twist of life, to take care of ourselves and to achieve tranquility to the stormy present.

The mediation is a  shower of blessing to my energy.  The session reminds me of the book, Brida by Paulo Coelho.  It takes me into a forgotten, perhaps a granted, dimension about the beauty of life.  In the book, Paulo wrote "In his or her life, each person can take one of two attitudes: to build or to plant.  Builders may take years over their tasks, but one day they will finish what they are doing.  Then they will stop, hemmed in by their own walls.  Life becomes meaningless once the building is finished.  Those who plant suffer the storms and the seasons and rarely rest.  Unlike a building, a garden never stops growing.  And by its constant demands on the gardener’s attention, it makes the gardener’s life a great adventure.”

I feel blessed as it involves two individuals, that I have known for such a long time and for them to have been in a relationship spanning almost 40 years, to give me the opportunity to recognize love.  Bless as the mediation is about us taking a walk together from the visible world over into the invisible and to learn lessons of both those worlds.  It is about cementing true friendship and to bring about renewed life cycle to people who I care so much.  Bless as it is a heartwarming eye opener to the karmic connection of soul mate.

The mediation awakens the spiritual consciousness about acceptance.  It nourishes my soul to the acts of letting go and to accept what is Just-Is.  It makes me human and to realize the joy in soul mate.  About what life is and how it brings people together for a greater lesson for each other.  About love that has no expiry date.  That love conquers it all.  That love forgives.  About a great relationship that holds all the lessons about growth, about acceptance, about forgiveness, and the realization and desire to re-learn what had been forgotten.  All in the name of respect to be earned and for love to bear no expiry date.

Maintaining a good and strong relationship requires a lot of effort, sincerity and dedication.  It requires understanding and a capacity to forgive.  It is also important to remember, that even when a relationship is going well and smooth, it should never be taken for granted, soul mate or otherwise.

Every relationship is unique, complex and multi-dimensional.  We have our own way of understanding and feeling.  We build a relationship and unconsciously put ourselves to the hands of our loved ones in the hope that the relationship will provide our happiness.  Over time, we even expect that our partner is supposed to know exactly what, when and how to provide this happiness.  Unknowingly, we become completely ignorant of the the function of a relationship that is supposed to make one feels complete.  Happiness is only a by product and is still our responsibility to bear.

A relationship can be a great way to have fun and create a special bond.  It is a great opportunity to learn a lot about oneself and the one we care for.  The fundamental thing in maintaining a healthy relationship is the ability of partners to listen.  When we are able to listen to another person, we are given a chance to understand deeper about him/her.  In its turn, it makes our partner feels that he/she is worthy of being listened to.  Trust increases the value of any relationship.

It is very important, from the very beginning, to talk to each other.  To nurture each other and give each other, in all fields, the support.  Keeping the line of communication opens and to share about everyday happenings in life, share opinions, thought and feelings will open the door to know each other much better and get to know of each other's likes and dislikes.  It is only then that trust sanctifies this relationship.

Relationship is meant to give us the parts that we can never have on our own.  It is about finding the missing part, about furnishing the yin to the yang.  That completeness, over the time discovering one another through a relationship, makes our world go round.  It makes an individual to feel that he/she is capable of anything.

A relationship does not mean that partners never argue or disagree about anything.  It is always good to remind ourselves that we are still imperfect, even when we have found someone to love or  experiencing an intensed incarnated love attachment with a soul mate .  We are just humans who have our ups and downs.  We have our own ideas about tastes in food, about how we eat, about the musics and movies we listen and watch, about the words and languages we speak, about what we wear or just about visiting or not visiting friends and families in the weekend.

Soul mates are no difference and they themselves can be easily be victims to conflicts.  Their destiny lies with their particular lessons that have to be learned before the next spiritual level, or dimension, is reached.  Soul mates fall in love, again and again, to define for particular type of relationship that is chosen to achieve it.  It entails a realization and heightened awareness to let each one of them to grow spiritually and emotionally.

It is a written belief that there is, at least, one ideal soul mate for everyone and when we could just find each other, we would live together forever in bliss.  Most people can have several soul mates to compliment in one lifetime and the older a soul is, the more they have.  It is documented, through many works on past life regression and the many articles on soul mate, that we all have another half, and more, and we are not complete until we are united with that person.

One soul mate may come into a relationship to teach his/her partner about strength.  While another might teach about compassion.  All the learnng process in relationships involves trials and errors before the necessary growth.  For development and evolution to complete, consciousness plays a large content of aspects.  The energy bond between soul mates will always find its way to teach each other new lessons.

The key to maintain a stronger and healthier relationship, however, is not to copy each other but to allow all the parties to feel good about who they are.  Honesty should not be under-rated and doubts must not come in between.  Generally, people just hate to be doubted.  As soon as it happens, any relationship can go down in an instant.

Promises, when they are made, are to be honored and not conveniently said to be forgotten.  Words provide the energy to bond the relationship stronger.  Be committed to the words we relay to our partners.  The more we talk about our joy and pride, fears and problems to each other, the easier the karmic connections shall become.  It is essential to realize that learning about how to work things out together is a key to a blissful relationship.

We must constantly remind ourselves not to try to change our partner.  To be in a relationship where one just lives with a hope that another will change is unhealthy.  As humans, we will just get disappointed waiting for someone to change, while the other will get upset not being accepted for who they are.

The value of a good relationship is priceless. Even more so when we are in a relationship with our soul mate.  When it has come, we just need to embrace the relationship, nurture it and savour it and try to maintain by all possible means.

In Brida, Paulo Coelho said "true love allows each person to follow his or her own path, aware that doing so can never drive them apart'.  Love with no expiry date is "when you find your way you cannot be scared.  You need to be brave enough to take wrong steps.  The deceptions, failures, lack of enthusiasm, are tools that God places in our way to reveal the path'.

"The path to wisdom is not being afraid to make mistakes" he said.  Life is, and will be, beautiful "every time you wish something, keep your eyes wide open, focus and know exactly what you want.  No one hits the target with eyes closed".

That is what a relationship should be about.  Not the transient feeling of happiness but the realization that we, as imperfect individual, can create a beautiful, if not perfect whole.  Whether we choose to find happiness from there, is still our choice, but it is not going to be something given to us when we find someone we love.  It has always been, and should be, something we create.

A happy relationship is only true when happiness is shared.

Quotes from Brida, a Paulo Coelho novel:

"But how will I know who my Soulmate is?"

"By taking risks," Wicca said to Brida.

"By risking failure, disappointment, disillusion, but never ceasing in your search of love. As long as you keep looking, you will triumph in the end"

I guess the triumphant of love - one that is written with no expiry date, with soul mates are when all things click and when hearts keep coming back to each other even after the worst case scenario.

Faith.Hope.Love

This is a story of love.  This is a story of love in its purest form.  This is a story of courage to love.  This is a story of Nattawat.  This is, perhaps, your story too.  And perhaps, it is mine.

It is a story for those who believe.  For those who want to believe.  For those who want to open up the center of the heart.  To allow it to emanate the feelings of love.  To connect with others for joy, happiness, respect, compassion, understanding and generosity, and with loving oneself in a sincere and non egotistic way.  In continuing intuitive awakening, for both spiritual and healing creation.  With faith.  With hope.  With conviction to become a conduit to Love.

To become the purpose of Love and to serve it.  It is a story to persevere until the last possible moment.  It is a story of strength.  Of courageous faith.  Of divine hope.  To love at all is to be vulnerable.  It is a writing to bring about consciousness in the spiritual words "Faith", "Hope" and "Love".

Spiritual words are of such importance in bringing our journey to reality.  Conveying non-material concepts and relate them to the functions of the spiritual inner person.  Setting important spiritual effects upon the functions of the fleshly body of the individual.  It is, in opening the Door of Life (the heart), that love forges great significance for the god consciousness, for the great compassion, of the higher self and the awakening of the soul.

The first time I met Nattawat was in 2004.  He was 24 years old.  A young Thai guy who had just, for the first time in his adulthood, fallen in love.  He connected with someone and thought to himself of how lucky he had been to meet another person and to begin his dream for a lifetime relationship.  His desire was simple - to fall in love and be loved in return.

Nattawat believed in Love.  He wanted to fall in love.  He wanted to be loved.  He was never completely devoid of hope nor doubt his faith for love to happen.  He knew, and accepted, the unfavourable situation he was in.  He had fallen in love with someone whom was in another relationship.  Nattawat knew he had become the 'Inconvenient Partner'.  He knew the only thing, the saddest thing, was love didn't include him.

Over the next few years, he tried to give up.  He wanted to diminish his dream for another dream.  He had his conscience not to allow his emotions to go any farther; never to force an earthly act to work to his advantage.  I knew he tried and, many times, his determination choked him.

For years, he took up a job that made him to be away from his homeland.  To just let the dream be a dream; for Love to happen without ever chasing after it desperately.  Hoping to sail away all the pains, the feelings of rejection and the inability to accept himself.  Hoping, at the end of a strong willed determination and self banishment, he would not suffer from guilt.  He made sure he would not be dominated by his emotions and feelings, putting himself above his own needs in an unbalanced way.

I met him again early 2008.  He was still in love.  Still with that someone since 2004.  Still with that someone whom was in a relationship.  While time leaped and bounded, to progress by forward springs, Nattawat was still trapped by his misfortune.  The premise of his heart, where he held dear for this someone to share his life, was received with more sadness, sorrow and pain.  It seemed his miscasts knew no bounds.  It seemed so hard to forget and to let go.  It seemed so hard to change a paradigm.

Nattawat was, and will always be, my lesson in life.  A man who made his weakness his strength.  A man, from the very day I met him, who was unable to shun away his full acceptance on his inability to fully possess a positive mindset yet stayed true to his heart.  He knew, and fully in charge, of the block yet let the graciousness of Love to take its own course.

He owned, through his admission, all his inadequacies, the malfunctioning, to fill his soul with negative emotions of guilt, self pity and paranoia.  He would never keep away all of these shortcomings.  Nor did he rejoice in them.  He just accepted them to drive him to change.  He accepted them to recourse his life for spiritual victories.

His awareness earned my respect.  It was, in the consciousness of being of what he thought of himself, of the self-trapped negative charged mindset, that would generate the virtues and to free him from the rope.  Nattawat knew his negativity was stopping him to become a better person.  He wanted change.  He wanted to embrace the energy of being positive that can only change his misfortunes.  His journey.

There is wisdom in all human.  With and for Nattawat, he just knew that negativity and love are two separate entities.  Negativity was his choice but Love is forever divine.  The emotion of love, to Love, is very important for one to see God; the nurturer towards heaven.  Inasmuch he detested his ways of thinking, he believed that love is universal.

As in many tales of great love story, love conquers all.   There is always the metaphysical implication in such a situation.  There is always a karmic interpretation for a lesson untold.  Often misunderstood.  Often condemned.  Often we loathe the 'Inconvenient Partner' to cause the disruption.

When I met Nattawat early this year, his dream had become a reality.  It took him many years to ride on a new found relationship with the person whom he had fallen in love with for so many years.  Perseverance, surely, paid off.  He had great patience.  Indeed, in such a fast-paced society and our self-centered culture, his patience and the perseverance - Faith.Hope.Love - was the milestone gift of authenticity of the higher consciousness.  Nattawat walked in a manner worthy of the calling to which he had been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love.

Anyone can fall in love.  It is easy to fall in love.  Afterall, we are created from [the seed of] love.  But, to fall in love with the right person, to the right degree, at the right time, for the right purpose and in the right way, that is not easy.  An error can never become true however many times we repeat and try to undo it.  The truth can never wrong even if no one hears it.

A relationship is an opportunity for two souls to learn a life lesson.  The lesson that is to be learned is important so as to heighten an individual's life force (against the forces of nature) and liberating karmic debt to transcend consciousness.  To bring about the consciousness of being and knowing.  To raise the seed of love to grow and for all the emotions to function through feelings and ability to accept oneself.  The basis of what is to be learned, and shared, creates formless thought that is alive and at peace.  It brings forth our true nature, the true nature of all that is and is not, is Absolute Love.  Love is Being nothing, and everything.

What lies deepest within us, in clearing karmic debt and in accomplishing life lesson, is a state of love and soul consciousness which extends beyond time and space and reveals itself in its innate urge to unite.  Great loves often extend beyond lifetimes whereas the lovers will deeply love and connect in one lifetime.  They then often meet again to perfect and celebrate their love in a future lifetime.

Our soul contains the event that shall befall it in that when we are in a state of soul consciousness, we can and often will intuit our next step on the path of our heart.

It is Faith, Hope and Love that bind us to our spiritual 'inner person'.  That set and reward us for spiritual gifts.  Faith is the basis for us to strive.  Love is a gift, about giving that seeks the highest good and merit, and to let it flow continuously from where we come through how we live.  Hope is the longing for intents to come true; providing present enjoyment for a future fulfillment.

Nattawat's story lives in my search for wisdom.  For allowing me to learn that perseverance is the key in achieving any goal.  It is an important virtue in order to bring joy in many aspects in life.  That we can do anything we want to if we stick to it long enough.  Only those who keep his eyes fixed on the far horizon will find his right road.

Faith, Hope, Love - the rewards for those who persevere far exceed the pain that must precede the victory.

Note To God

I am so thankful at how things work out.  At how, at a wonderful start of a new year, people whom I treasure fill me with an awesome swelling of my heart.  For making the fullness of my life.  For feelings overwhelm my emotions.  It is a great joy from the start.  It is the world so real.

I travel within the spirit of the land - specifically, The Free Land of Smiles, that takes me through the rich and diverse landscape of love.  Of kaleidoscope of joy and massive happiness.  Of freeing burden and bringing smiles.  Of reminding me to the rich and greatest collective lesson called togetherness; holding on together.  Of diversity yet exhibits strong cohesion.  Of extravagance greets with gentle greetings.  Of a connection to life and dancing to the colours of the wind.

Northern-Western Thailand Tour 2010

The Journey:

Pattaya  ---->  Saraburi  ---->  Phitsanulok  ---->  Sukhotai  ---->  Tak
---->  Lampang  ---->  Chiang Mai  ---->  Nakhon Sawat  ----Ayutthaya  ---->  Pattaya

It is a journey that is wrapped in timeless kingdom of spiritual accomplishment.  Of emotional outburst into a temple of safe haven.  Of how the brilliance of thought weaves into glistening harmony.  Of love.  Of joy.  Of the needs to appreciate every single act as a significant beauty of life.  The only condition to all things well, and for supremacy to happen, is my sincere desire to have it.

It is a walk of life towards thoughtless awareness.  Of being mindful and fully alert but without any thoughts to govern any external forces.  To be in the now.  To reap the fruits of nowness.  It is a fantastic journey into my own spiritual existence.  It is a door that has opened to a new dimension.

Oh God, it is such a peaceful and thankful sunrise for the new year.  Yes, I would never ask for anything more than this gift of love.  This gift of joy.  This perfect gift of peace.  The greatest present explored in the present of presence.  You tuck away my apprehension and showers me in a chest for heightened purpose.

Not a day goes by will I want to trade it for anything else.  I am getting Your lead - a blessing that only promises for more inclusion of joyful warranted life purposes.  I am seeking Your wisdom.  I am seeking Your guidance.  I am seeking Your love for love to serve its purposes.  With compassion.  With faith.  With conviction.

This set of treasure chests, a Christmas 2009 gift from a dear friend, symbolises a synchronicity for a new beginning.  Is it too much of a co-incidence?  Of a significant message to store a treasure that [must] lasts forever.   There is something wonderful about having it.  There is something precious for all the contents to be kept safe and protected.  There is something important - a prizeless crafted chest, synonymous of my desires to house them inside.  There is something meaningful - a priceless acquisition that no matter how humble, always seem to signify reverence for an accomplishment of a treasured precious possession.

I am very thankful for a road trip that has filled me with plentiful prayers.  Bringing my soul closer to the tranquility of life forces.  Soaking my mental body to experience calmness of emotional peace.  It is a collective realm of the many visits to bring me closer to the Power of Prayer.  To the Power of Intent to orchestrate the Law of Vibrations and Attractions. Of having a basic wish to be happy and to avoid sufferings.  Of empowering a vision of peace.  Of creation for highest possible the pleasure palaces.

Having visited few spiritual sites, and breathe peace, joy and love all
around me, the most universal sign for this fortunate birth of the new
year is this heartwarming sight of these puppies in such an enclosed
spiritual place.

The nurturing and (as a dear friend cited it) 'emancipated' moment of a mother to her babies to keep each one of them alive.  To make them to live and to grow.  Regardless of all the heavy human traffic around her and the fear on her face, there is deep sense of faith.  Of conviction and responsibility.  As though she knows nothing will, and can, harm her purpose.

It is, indeed, a beautiful insight.

It is about focus.

It is about recognition.

It is love in action.

This new year has brought me with unexpected blessings of joy.  Of love.  Of care and share.  Of giving.  Of strength against all odds.  Of everything is possible.  Of turning fear into faith and celebrate its rewards.  Of paradigm shift to positive mindset.

I am so thankful, and blessed, meeting a departed spirit in one of the holy shrine.  In a state of pure and peaceful consciousness, of a loving father that whispered his love and gratitude.  Of a loving consciousness and his prayers.  I guess the message is meant for me.  I guess the message is more than just for me.  For clearing my doubts to achieve a state of evolution and everything necessary.  I just have to have the desire to achieve this state; it cannot be forced upon me.

.. and I shall just embrace it with more prayers ..

Cherish

03 October 1987:
22 years ago, on this date, we decided on a journey.  It was a day where we took the choice to end the pursuit to happiness in life and making it a reality.  It became the beginning.  The birth of a shared vision to bring in the true nature of life to grow.  It is in our human nature to bond with another and, in the words of Aristotle, "Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of life, the whole aim and end of human existence".  We ended our ignorance and preoccupied our wants for matters of great importance.  Of a better quality of life that will bring us to the grave.

We deliberately, at our conscious level, sought out happiness within and never allowed to think it was just as an external acquisition.  Perhaps, we are soul mate and even if that was so, we learned to savour and appreciated the basic pleasures being a companion to each other.  For soul mates to survive, it must be mixed with a different set of ingredients.  It needed the realization through experiences for knowledge.  For passion.  There must be a burning desire to ease each other out from confusion, from pain and from sufferings.  We learned to achieve our unique virtures and strengths and employed them to enhance our lives.  All, because we wanted to find a deep sense of fulfillment for that meaningful life.

It reminds me so much the writing of Morris L West in "A View From The Ridge" on being full human - the journey that we wanted to walk this life, side by side:

"It takes so much to be a full human being that there are very few who have the enlightenment or the courage to pay the price. One has to abandon altogether the search for security and reach out to the risk of living with both arms. One has to embrace the world like a lover. One has to accept pain as a condition of existence. One has to court doubt and darkness as the cost of knowing. One needs a will stubborn in conflict, but apt always to total acceptance of every consequence of living and dying."

I just love you because I do.  I can't change it.  I am thankful for all the patience and tolerance.  Above all, I am grateful that we desire to create mutual understanding to maintain peace and harmony.  To form a partnership of two individuals and that this partnership is enriched and enhanced when it allows our personalities involved to grow.

Indeed, we grew and developed gradually from understanding.  From true loyalty and not just sheer indulgence.  We provided a fine basis for development and taken delightful association, of two different individuals, to be nurtured.  To be free from loneliness and deprivation.  We strived to develop a complementary role, giving strength and moral courage to one another.  Each manifesting a supportive and appreciative recognition of the other's strengths and weaknesses in caring and providing for the quality of life we had been searching for.

I am in bliss with a partnership of equality.  Of gentleness.  Of generosity.  Of calm.  Of dedication.  Of pure sharing and trust.  Never that you asked how much you can get but how much you can give.  When my youth starts to fade away, you lay no emphasis but stayed true in your heart and mind, not in what you see.  Thank you for never neglecting me even in sickness.

We succeeded to stay true to the reality of wanting to be together.  Taken to harmonize our lives by minimizing whatever differences we may have between us.  To share all our pains and pleasures and consoling each other and minimized our grievances.  I am thankful that we have the strength to stay strong will power to reduce our burdens and misunderstandings.

John J Robinson, in his book "of Suchness" wrote:

"Somehow, when you find the right one, you know it in your heart. It is not just an infatuation of the moment. But the powerful urges of sex drive a young person headlong into blind acts and one cannot trust his feelings too much. This is especially true if one drinks and get befuddled; the lousiest slut in a dark bar can look like a Venus then, and her charms become irresistible. Love is much more than sex though; it is the biological foundation between a man and a woman; love and sex get all inter-twined and mixed up".

I am thankful that I just know that you are the right one.  And, I thank God that I met you not when I was drunk nor with a befuddled state of mind.

Today, I am praying for your health.  For peace within your heart and mind.  For all the joy that will always keep you company.

I am blessed to know, and have, you.  For the friendship, love, wisdom, joy, inner peace, wholeness, salvation, enlightenment.  A connection to the source of things.  And experience of the ground of being.

This is the song that used to accompany us:

Always
Atlantic Starr

.. and for the many more years ahead.
I just love you.

Because I Love You

I have walked a life, like many others, rest satisfied with doing well and to leave others to talk of me as they will.  To expect my best; convert problems into opportunities and be dissatisfied with the status quo.  To focus on where I want to go, instead of where I was coming from.  Most importantly, decide to be happy, knowing that it is an attitude - a habit, gained in purely spiritual matters and not a result or payoff.

The year 2009 is a song year that sings life into my cells.  Of love that unites living beings so as to complete and fulfill my soul.  For love developing until it embraces the totality of my physical, emotional, spiritual and mental and of the earth.

Somewhere, deep down inside me, in the place beyond all thoughts, I have surrendered.  The greatness of divinity is sufficient, in each and every moment, to make the impossible possible and setting my higher self within mobilised.  In all the blackness of grief to the joy of love, which is interchangeable, the divine grace has taken me by my hand to walk with confidence into the unknown.  Whatever each moment will look like, the faith to take heart of the truth and happiness will get me in the end.

My grief from the departure of beloved Ruby is the breaking of the shell that encloses my understanding.  And for my heart to sing, and my spirit to fly.  Not because she has been forgotten.  I am not to dwell on the past but to use it to illustrate a point.

From this moment onward, I can be an entirely different person, filled with love and understanding, ready with an outstretched hand, uplifted and positive in every thought and deed.  It is for my own creation to make me stronger, wiser, more loving and resourceful.  There is just so much for us to use of nature's way.  We just have to take the time to hear and see that which is close at hand.  It is said that no soul that aspires can ever fail to rise; no heart that loves can ever be abandoned.

You are loved because I love you.  I am loved because love can never be abandoned.  From this moment onward, the only way to deal with the future is to function efficiently in the Now.  This is the gift of change.  When I desire a change, I must be that change before that change can take place.

Today I will be like a very small joyous child living gloriously in the ever present Now without a single worry or concern about even the next moment of time.  As I simplify my life hereon, the laws of the universe will be simpler.  Solitude will not be solitude.  Poverty will not be poverty.  Nor weakness weakness.

I pray for blessings.  I am setting my sights high, and the higher the better.  I manifest for the most wonderful things to happen.  No longer will it be, in this Now, that the swan is standing with wings but a swan in full flight.

I must accept that there is no separation between my soul and love.  Between me and the Universe.  In all the beauty of life, there can be no real lack or scarcity.  There is nothing that we have to try to achieve or attract.  When there is love, we contain the potential - the divine expressions of the creative principle, for everything within us.  If I should learn the secret of right relations, I only have to look for the divine in people and things.

Today is a day filled with atrium of a new life.  Filled with the fire of transformation.  I am blessed.  I bless the day I find you.  In the words of Kahlil Gibran in 'The Prophet',

"When love beckons to you, follow him.  Though his ways are hard and steep.  And when his wings enfold you, yield to him.  Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.

And when he speaks to you, believe in him.  Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; for love is sufficient unto love.

Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.

But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:

To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.

To know the pain of too much tenderness.

To be wounded by your own understanding of love;

And to bleed willingly and joyfully.

To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;

To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;

To return home at eventide with gratitude;

And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips."

Everything that is needed has appeared in the right place at the right time.  This is the beginning for a higher soul awareness and joyous soul healing.  I should stride forward with a firm, steady step knowing with a deep, certain inner knowing.  That I will reach every goals that I set myself.

I have been given to share the gifts of the Universe.  I know that I want it.  I thank God that He let me.

... and it is all because I love you ....

of Joy, Happiness, Truth and Love

This is for a dear friend, JH -- with gratitude.

Indeed, this wind chime - that is made of glass and given by a dear friend, speaks off the values that I would bring into Reiki Sanctuary.  Flown in from Australia, it makes an interesting pre-housewarming gift.

Glass, which has a property of both solid and liquid, is all about pure transparency - that its molecules are not packed into a tight lattice and it does not contain molecules that capture light with a particular energy.  When light encounters glass, most of it passes through.

Such is the thought in this wind chime.  Not only it reflects perfectly on the words 'Joy', 'Happiness', Truth' and 'Love', it empowers the purity of the giver and synchronize to the wavelength, frequency and energy of Reiki Sanctuary.

What more can I say - 'those words' are what I had asked when I found Reiki Sanctuary.  Perhaps, this wind chime is not just a co-incident - for as long as I have often wished, and for as long as I have always felt, going back to the mountain will provide me with the peace and harmony to get away from the bustling life.  Perhaps, the truth is about to surface.  Perhaps, I am getting far too tired.

I am certain that Reiki Sanctuary will provide me deeper into joy, happiness, truth and love.

And to you, my friend, may the same values be bestowed upon you.  Thank You.

The wind chime that will stay forever to remind me of those values:
