Welcome To Reiki Sanctuary, The Blog

The Voices of My Soul

I enjoy writing. It relaxes me.
It makes me to take charge to nurture my mind and spirit.
It is far better than the burden of thinking and talking.
Writing is self discovery. Writing is a way towards my self-conviction:
I Become What I Think About. The Me I See, The Me I Will Be.

My writings are my way to communicate with the Universe.
They are my expressions of my inner voice. They are voices of my soul.
Often, they are about little prayers for my development, growth and well being.
Often, they are meant to shape my spirituality. [>> Click To Read More]

Reiki Sanctuary in 2015

 photo 01A Main Entrance_zpsmbrxvz1u.jpg

It has been such a long while that I have been writing in this blog.  It has been almost a year that I allow myself just not to think about anything specific.  Though it has been a year long, my life has been going through many wonderful times.  There are many more good things that I remember than those that make me to feel down.  But, that does not mean that my life has been wonderfully perfect throughout.  I am still a human that goes through the up and down of life cycle.  Perhaps, it has been the way I think - that everything that is to happen to me has good reasons that follow.  Such, I do not dwell too much on any sad moments as they, very often, have more meaningful outcomes.

I believe that I have grown significantly since the last time I write in my blog.  With my absence here, I have been busy else where.  I believe I am spreading my works outside the blog to be more personal with others.  I do hope I am positively contributing to the lives of others, for them to be aware and becoming to be more aware.  Awareness, to me, is crucial as it opens doors to one's journey in his or her life.  It is about making life good and living a good life.

Though there are times that I want to write, my Higher Self directs myself to stay silent.  Perhaps, the Universe is guiding me into a journey inward, to find that solace and meaning, before it allows me to pen down the thoughts here.  Looking back, I believe it is good.  It is good as it makes me to stay neutral and just be the observer to all things good.  It is good because I will have a better understanding.  Being an observer, it creates opportunities for improvement.  It makes me to look around and to listen to my inner voice.  It gives me deeper understanding to validate what others think, feel or intend.  Above all, in the state of observation, I allow myself to a journey of curiosity to be a truth seeker.

How long more will I start to write again?  I guess, as the song goes, the answer is blowing in the wind (Bob Dylan - Blowin' In The Wind).  Till then, I hope you (my readers) will enjoy the pictures that I have just updated.  As usual, it is about my love for Reiki Sanctuary.  It is about honouring her that houses me to keep me safe all these seven years .. and counting.

Reiki Sanctuary In 2014

What a little surprise!  As I woke up in the early hours on the first day of 2014 and was getting ready to receive Reiki Sanctuary's first guest of the year, I was greeted with this butterfly gripped on the wall in our living area.  It was rather a big one and it didn't even fly off when I snatched picture of it.  It just wanted to stay there.

I took it that its presence had some meanings of what could lie ahead.  Be it for me or for Reiki Sanctuary.  At the same time, I felt that our Late Little Ruby - May She Rest In Peace, was here to shine light into Reiki Sanctuary and to remind me of how wonderful life had been.  Of the period of unconditional love and of the days and years where I lived without worries.

Heaven, Hell and HDB

There were so much happenings in the month of June, 2013 here in and around Reiki Sanctuary.  For all the events that took place, I was sure they happened for good reasons.  They filled valuable lessons that needed to be learned - the positive ones for our growth and appreciation while the negative ones were for our reflection and acceptance.  Everything that happened, after all, were about providence of good changes.

First, there were various HDB activities.  All these activities came with noise and dust.  After the lift upgrading which was carried out in 2011 - Read: The Re-Making of Reiki Sanctuary and Read: What a Wonderful, Wonderful ..., HDB did more things to repair and restore, hence beautifying, the blocks of flat.  HDB repaired the rubbish chute and had it cleaned up and gave a new waterproof wall.

I Am Still So Much In Love

God, In Your Wisdom I Shall Be

And suddenly I have this big idea to change the face of my blog.  Again.  Perhaps, it is about changing the inertia.  Changing the energy.  Transforming to the new flow of a higher dimension.  Ascending with the changes.  Making new resolutions.  Bringing the awareness to scale into a new consciousness.  Shifting the paradigm of the old Self to align with the new Self.

I have to be more focus.  I must have specific goals.  I must know what will move me to be more proactive in life.  I have to know what I love in order for love to reward me.  But I must be aware with the quality of love.  Do I want love for love sake or do I want love that can propel my soul to soar higher?  Do I want to bask in love that my whole life force energizes or do I want love because I need to be in love?

Here Is Where I Grow

God, I Do Love You

Every room and every item in our home has its own energy and vibrations.  Each carries its own informational consciousness.  Each has its own life patterns and manifestations.  Importantly, to create good energy for each room, it is notable that we remember each room has its own soul, almost symmetrical to a human.  It has a sense of being and it works energetically with the dweller.  It has great significance, values and frequencies.

It is, therefore, essential that we respect every room.  We should take the effort that it is well taken care off.  We should synchronize her soul to be a part of us and we have to fine tune the vibrations to work in partnership with us.  All that we need to do is to, constantly, nurture the nature.  Just as much as we want our Being to be respected, to be loved and to live a harmonious and balanced life, so does every room.

Go, Find Yourself The Purpose Of Your Life

God, in You We Surrender.

First and foremost, may I take this opportunity to wish you, my readers, a blessed 2013.  May we walk into the new year with our vibrations raised much higher together.  Where our consciousness resonates at a higher frequency and all things become possible.  Where it shall be a new year where we reclaim our health, vitality and inner peace.  Where we can manifest our desires easily and experience higher levels of joy and love in the present moment.  Where Universal abundance brings possible success to our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies.

It shall be a new  year that encompasses an outlook where we will find and live in harmony with our life.  Where the joys of life, the peace that comes with it and all dreams shall be fulfilled.  Let it be a brand new year where our consciousness supersedes the Mayan calender.  Today, we survive its prediction and we are moving forward.  Definitely, today onwards, it carries new meaning to many of us.  Hopefully, it will be a brand new year of hope and of great faith.  Read Here: If Tomorrow Never Comes.

The Broaden World, The Larger Mind

God, In You I Find So Much Peace

In June 2011, I wrote about my transition (in Broaden The Mind, Broaden Thy World) which I thought would last me, err, forever.  I must say, reading through the article again makes me a failure now.  I feel that I have contradicted myself.  Then again, perhaps at that time I gave in so as to avoid the extra renovation when I was still not fully convinced with the wifi internet connectivity.  I mentioned, in that article, that I would still prefer a wired network.

Note to myself:  Ah, is this just another excuse?

It has to do with the power of the mind.  As much as I have slowly getting used to wifi, deep inside me still wonder if I had made the right decision.  Especially when I constantly have things to download, live media streaming and data uploads.  Especially when I know the download speed on wired connection will more than double.  Honestly, should I want to be calculative, to pay for a high end broadband package and not utilize the service is not cost effective.

The Simple Arts of Home-Keeping

The best you can do is to manage the variables under your control.

There is a tremendous pleasure I get in being able to relax in a clean house.  My soul feels at ease.  My mind is free of the negative clouds about life in general.  Cleanliness, as goes the adage, is next to godliness.  By keeping Reiki Sanctuary clean, I sense to lead a healthy and hygienic life.  A clean house creates room for me to be able to think on a more clear space free of distractions.

The cleanliness of both our body and our surroundings ought to be maintained for better living.  House keeping, and house cleaning, is important as it gives us the advantage of staying in a cool and clean home.  This can help us to relax and reduce our chances of suffering from stress.  It has been found that those who stay in untidy houses usually get into depression conditions more easily than those in clean orderly environments.

Leveraging Abundance

Beware of mixing emotions and money. It’s rarely a good combination.

Good Morning, Vietnam!

And so the habit dies hard.  'Habit' is such a negative word to reflect on our recurrent pattern of behavior.  Habit entails an unconscious addiction and a resigned feeling that reflects a lack in inner competence and dependency in life.  For us, the habit of holiday shopping for Reiki Sanctuary is a conscious recognition of her presence.  Thing is, we enjoy beautifying Reiki Sanctuary.  Thing is, she is just not a dwelling to shelter us from the sun and the rain.  She is more than just a home; she is our Heaven on Earth.  Such, she plays a crucial purpose to mold our characters.

We always remember her during our holidays.  She is constantly with us even when we are to be thousand miles away.  It makes us to appreciate her existence and make ourselves to feel complete again.  In 'The Tenet of Soul', I wrote "the state of a house tells another kind of stories.  A story of the soul, a representation of our earthly lives".  We have always wanted to create the energy within Reiki Sanctuary to reflect the "way we perceive things and the values that we live by.  Of how people come together to bring hope, courage, inspiration and love".

For The Joy Of It All

What’s the youngest memory you can recall? Pleasant or sad?

[This is the second part of "A Tribute to Reiki Sanctuary, The Third Year".  You may want to read the Part One [HERE].]

Reiki Sanctuary is my mountain.  Reiki Sanctuary is the cave in the mountain.  Reiki Sanctuary is a lover, a friend, a comforter.  Reiki Sanctuary is wellness of life, my life.  It is my sacred place.  It is a place where my soul comes to live and be protected.  She is a safe haven.

I am very much comfortable just to be here.  I am at peace just to be here.  I am happy to be here.  I am fortunate that my soul finds the sense of life here.

Prison Break

Your doctor, your lawyer, your accountant, and your therapist: those you never want to lie to.

This is the second part of 'A Tribute to Reiki Sanctuary, The Third Year.  [More Read]

It takes me by surprise when friends start to ask whether I will honor my words about the upcoming video for Reiki Sanctuary, the third year.  I casually mentioned about it in my previous entry.

Such reminders make me feel touched.  Collectively, it shows that there are people who really read my blog and remember what is written.  Reiki Sanctuary, the blog, has grown since 2008.  It is no longer just a home living blog but, gradually, it has become a place where I start to write about my spiritual journey too.  About my conviction and what I believe spiritually.  It has nothing to do with one religion, or my religion, but my own evolutionary perspective.

A Tribute to Reiki Sanctuary, The Third Year - Part One

If you can’t write it down, you probably can’t pull it off.  It’s hard to go bad when you do good.

I have never really written a proper article to thank Chiauw and to show her our deepest gratitude.  The person, the ID and a friend who contributes to make what Reiki Sanctuary to be what she is.  To make Reiki Sanctuary a sanctuary for souls to grow.  To enjoy for the blessed comfort and deep peace.  To unite and re-unite life with love, serenity and tranquility.

To thank her to make Reiki Sanctuary to be a renovator's delight - and a beautiful home with all the right qualities that please our senses.  Chiauw, indeed, has done an excellent and wonderful transformation.  She makes a remarkable change to an old 23 years simple 5-rooms old flat to serve us with better function and condition.

Three years have passed and there are still people (mainly readers from a renovation forum) who would ask me to recommend her to do their homes.  There are still families and friends who come to our place and never stop complimenting on the good renovation works.  On the choice of materials, the choice of design and the choice of renovation organization.

Looking back, Chiauw does a very good job.  She incorporates our lifestyle and our needs and blends our idea of a home, which is highly aesthetically pleasing, with her wide scope know-how.  She transforms Reiki Sanctuary cosmetically and structurally.

Perhaps, I should record it that Reiki Sanctuary is an architect-designed.  It is modern and contemporary residence and not an ID created.  This is what Chiauw stands for and this is what Chiauw has been telling us.  It is, undoubtedly, a fact.

She is a trained and talented architect and not an Interior Designer per se.  It is her architectural job that allows her passion for interior decorating to be superbly crafted with high quality finishes throughout.

Reiki Sanctuary has been architecturally designed to maximise into a modern living space and style.  It is classic and timeless.  Undeniably, Chiauw is very knowledgeable and resourceful.  She thinks of all possibilities and very meticulous in carrying out with details.  The end result is to make sure that we live in a practical home, where house chores are made easier.

She puts through the most rigorous quality controls to ensure that Reiki Sanctuary is faultlessly built.  We see it all through her supervision with the plumbers, the electricians, the joiners and everyone that's involved with the renovation.  She makes sure even the tiler, the plasterer and the painter is dedicated to the finest finishes.

She designs Reiki Sanctuary to the very millimeters.  Every single area of our home is a true custom design.  The aim is to deliver the function with the look we love and be perfectly suited to our dream house.  She uses all her experience and expertise to guide us through the maze of design options and create the sanctuary that we desire.

Buying a house is only the first step in creating a home.  It is an heavy investment.  It is a manufacturing capital growth.  Here in Singapore, a well renovated public housing flat sells with higher cash over valuation (COV) on top of the value of the property.

Though it is not intended for us to 'buy-renovate-and-sell' Reiki Sanctuary, she is a home that will house us for many more years.  Still, we must provide for provision for our old age.  We have to factor in our lifestyle and how we want to live comfortably in 10, 15 or 20 years ahead.

Choosing Chiauw to do our renovation is a blessing.  She educates us.  She allows us to make informed choices.  She helps us to solve problems and fixes our decorating dollars wisely.  It is not about how much we spend, but importantly, Chiauw presents it stylishly.

Her wide knowledge on renovation hardware, building materials and supplies helps us to know what are available in the market.  She shows us almost everything, from the expensive high quality to the average.  At the end of it, the intention is for us to know that there are many options to choose from.

Our experiences with Chiauw, therefore, qualifies it into a renovation tip on 'How To Choose an Interior Designer'.  The end result speaks itself - the compliments are testament to her dedicated works.

Though my tips here are not extensive and exhaustive, I hope they provide sufficient basic knowledge.  Here, I will not highlight the importance on chemistry (between IDs and home owners) as it is personal and varied.  Chemistry should be the first thing to strike in the selection for a good ID.  Chemistry should include on communication, the ability between ID and home owner to collaborate and understand on a common language.

Once chemistry is established, there are other considerations.

I must add that the following tips are strictly based on personal satisfaction and our heartfelt appreciation for Chiauw.  Though not limited, it is to serve as a guideline for other home owners to consider before finally engaging an Interior Designer.

How To Choose An Interior Designer

01.  Certification

There are many interior designers or decorators but very few can qualify for the highest standard of Interior Design.  Those who met the qualification should not only be able to design but also able to understand building codes and project management.

Designing a new home is often a daunting task.  Many home owners have lots of ideas but they are like jigsaw puzzles span all over the head.  They need a good Interior Designer (ID) to help solve these puzzles and able to unite the pieces into a vision.  A good ID with proper certification, either by qualification or years of experience, could easily do it.

Never too shy to ask about their qualification and their experiences.  In fact, it is good to ask to let them know that you are really searching for a qualified person to help solving your jigsaw puzzles.

02.  Design Process

A good ID should have a wealth of experience and knowledge about constructing beautiful homes.  On top of that, ID should be able to tell how to live in them and to provide invaluable addition to the design process.

In the case of Chiauw, she interviews us at the start even before we get to ask about her expertise.  She asks about our lifestyles and about what we actually want in a house.  She leaves us with interior books so that we can have better ideas.

Basically, the objective is for her to conceptualize all that we want for a home.  She goes to the extend knowing which drawer or shelves we will put for sugar and the cooking oil, the tshirts and undergarments, the towels and bedsheets, the brooms and vacuum cleaner and etc.

A good ID should be able to tell home owners the function of each room.  When we ask Chiauw to design us a suspended TV Console in the Living Room, she knows where to place and hide the electrical sockets, yet conveniently located.  When we tell her that we want an L-shaped kitchen cabinet, she makes sure the height of it will not strain our body when cooking or washing the utensils.

These are details that many home owners overlook.  A good ID should highlight them right from the beginning.

03.  Budget

Explain the scope of the renovation and how much home owners are willing to spend upfront.  A good professional ID should be able to accommodate and making adjustments to fit budgets and expectations.

Chiauw uses a combination of fee structures.  There is a fixed fee to develop the initial plan and then cost plus to execute it.

04.  Style And Design

Good IDs should be able to accommodate home owners' tastes even if their personal style is completely different.  That said, there are IDs who have unique approaches that may not mesh with home owners.  Communication is critical when this happens.  Get them to tell the advantages.

Chiauw insists that at certain places, particularly in our kitchen cabinet, she wants to block off dead ends.  We are glad that we allow it.  Her rational makes sense - at such dead end area, cleaning is indeed a difficult chore.

A lot of psychology goes into design a functional home.  Good IDs must anticipate it and bring their talents to the project.  They should be able to contribute to the design process and adds tremendous value for home owners.

A good design is when IDs can provide with the highest quality home design, exceeding home owners' expectations, creating designs to enrich the occupants and producing unique solutions to inspire.

05.  Contacts And Management

Good IDs will be able to inform home owners on the renovation projects.  They can list down, and they should have sets of different sub-contractors to carry out the different tasks.  They should also know how to manage the different subcontractors.  Get them to share their lists of contacts for each task.  Get them to share on their workmanship.

Good IDs will hold your hands throughout the process.  They will bring you to source for materials.  They will advice on their practicability.

The best ID is the one that is transparent with the prices quoted from the different sub-contractors and suppliers.  Chiauw does not deal with payments.  She provides us with the tender prices from contractors and suppliers.

She carefully watches the sub-contractors' works and scrutinise all items purchased.  If we are not happy with the job or with any particular item, she makes sure they correct it at no extra cost to us.

06.  Timeline

Good IDs are able to tell home owners on renovation schedules.  They can give you an estimated time of delivery and hand-over date.

07.  Portfolios

It is important to see the many works of your selected ID.  Also, get the ID to show the works of his/'/her sub-contractors.

You Are Still Loved, My Dear - Part One

You write the script that is your life. Don’t stutter reading your own lines.

A friend commented that we love Thailand.  That we (seem) to be going back and forth there often.  Indeed, we do.  Let's face it, there are many things one can do when in Thailand.  There are the affordable shopping.  There are many decent massage and spa.  There are, if you are into hot and spicy, good cheap food.  There are long stretched of their local pasar malam (night markets) at almost every major roads.

Hotels, and the new kids-on-the-block serviced apartments, in Bangkok are everywhere.  Prices are so competitive that it can make it hard which would be the better one to stay in.  Most of them even throw in with free breakfast, evening free cocktail hours, wi-fi, mini kitchenette and some a washer-dryer machine inside the rooms.

Public transport is easily accessible and very much convenient to move around within the capital.  The sky walk along the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS), or informally known as the SkyTrain, make it very convenient to shelter from the sun and rain.  Most of these BTS stations are conveniently located at major shopping centers.  So are Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) (or sometimes referred as the Bangkok Metro).

Often, our souls seems to embrace tranquility in Thailand.  It can be a day just stuck in the hotel and a short distance walk for lunch and dinner, yet the atmosphere can fill me with somewhat a spiritual retreat.  Yes, undeniably, it is a holiday but the feeling is far beyond relaxation.  It is, for me, a trance like feeling of serenity.

We love the energy there.  It may not be clean and public hygiene is still a long way to improve yet there is something beautiful about it.  We love the slow pace of life even in the capital Bangkok.  Generally, the Thais are courteous and gentle people.  One observation of how one Thai would help another to carry things in a crowded train really touches my heart.  Such behavior is very common in their crowded trains.  It is one behavior that I have not seen a long time back at home.

Anticipated to celebrate Reiki Sanctuary's third anniversary, we braved ourselves to visit Thailand again recently.  Despite all our family and friends fear for us due to the Thailand Flood, we felt safe to travel.  Indeed, all their fears were self-organized mitigation.  There were no floods while we were there though there were lots of sandbags stood around.

The whole capital getting ready to protect their business from the flood.

And even the MRT stations are taking the extra pre-caution.  The closure of some entrances of these MRT stations made our short-cut walk to our hotel impossible during our stay.

As usual, it seems a blessing whenever we check-in the hotel, that we will be upgraded to a better room the next day.  We are very grateful and will continue to count our blessings.

Our last stay at Furama Xclusive Asoke was no different.  We had previously twice stayed at another chain, Furama Xclusive Sathorn.  Furama Xclusive Asoke was a business hotel and all their rooms did not furnish with dining area and mini kitchenette.  It situated right in Sukhumvit road surrounded with commercial buildings.  Sathorn, on the other hand, was a family-oriented hotel.  It had different types of rooms, available from a simple superior to deluxe with full kitchen.

An hour after we checked-in, while on the way out and passed the reception counter, the staff who checked us in asked whether we liked the room.  We knew there were bigger rooms.  It was her kind gesture to ask that question but we took advantage to ask for an upgrade.  Our complaint was the bed did not have two side tables.  We were surprised that she looked into the possibility to move us.

That evening when we came back, a bigger room awaited with delight for us.

The First Room (on check-in)

We felt kinda funny without the two bedside tables.

A simple deco

And, the anticipated surprise awaited ..

Such a big space!  What a difference!

I am always impressed, here with this hotel and its chain, how the house-keeper would 'origami' the cloth runner to beautify the bed.

There are two shower areas.  One is the standing shower (just opposite the WC area) and another at the reasonably big and deep bath tub.

The Bar Area

The Exterior And Surrounding Area:

Hotel Entrance.  On the right of picture, just after the sign, is the Hotel Bar and Restaurant with outdoor seats.  And, further down the road is our favourite Massage shop.

With another 5-Stars hotel on the left, and few other hotels within the vicinity, and the newly open shopping center, Terminal 21 on the right.

We left Bangkok safe.  We departed with our prayers for the capital and her people.

May Peace Be Upon You

Everyone gets there. Some of us just take the long way home.

Happy Anniversary, dearest Reiki Sanctuary!

The Orderlies of Abundance

Today, 20th October, marks your third year.  How time flies, indeed.  How time flies when we are just happy to be with you.  To be in, and with, your comfort.  To be in, and with your, love.  How you shelter us unconditionally.  In health and in sickness.  Granting us patience, tolerance and understanding.  How you fill our soul with lessons, with wisdom and with the courage to live.

There's Light and Dark In All Of Us

Thing is, we are grateful for our souls in this marriage.  We enter the sacred space into the mystery which is the awareness of one another's presence.  We just have to remind each other with respect and remind ourselves of what brought us together.

You give us the gentleness and kindness.  You are marked by abundance and delight.  You provide us the quality of life.

Even when there are difficulties and fears assail within us, as these vibes threaten all relationship and all lives at one time or another, you make us to focus on what is right and not only the part which seems wrong.  It is this wisdom that we ride out the storms when the clouds hide the face of the sun in our lives.

You, beloved Reiki Sanctuary, make us to remember that the sun is still out there.

"Togetherness"

All that we are and all that we have, we offer to you, our dear Reiki Sanctuary, in love and in joy.  We will keep to love and comfort you, hold you close, prize you above all others.

We are thankful to you.  We are grateful to you.  We take pride in you.

Today, we continue to pray.  May you continue to support us on Earth with all the Universal Abundance and Blessings.

We love you always, Reiki Sanctuary.

The Re-Making of Reiki Sanctuary

Ruts are as hard to get out of as they are easy to fall into.

Two things that make me happy today.

One, as I walked out of the house earlier today, I was greeted with so much light.  Haha, it was not about an angelic light nor was it any thunder of light greeted upon me.  It was about the brightness of space, of new walls and paints, as I opened the door.  Just outside of Reiki Sanctuary, things had changed - but for now that story can wait.

Two, as I signed into my blog, I found that a friend had (yes! at last!) updated his blog (Life Is Still Good).  It was all smiles as I read his entry.  Smile, cos I had often encouraged everyone and anyone to strive for a clean, uncluttered and tidy house.  Smile, cos I had (probably) made this friend to think about the Law of Vacuum.

Smile, because I am so happy that this friend and, also, my sister are taking charge to change the course of their lives.  They engage themselves to be proactive.  That, in order to change for better energies within us, our environment needs to be accorded with change too.  It needs to synchronize with each other to balance the harmony.

These two individuals, my dear friend and my dearest sister, were spring cleaning their house!  This, I truly believe, will change about everything around them.

We do not have to wait for a right occasion to change an environment around us.  Especially when it has to do with house cleaning.  Personally, we should always be proud of our home; it is an heaven on earth.  It houses our psychical, mental, emotional and spiritual body.  It is, therefore, only right that we take good care of it to provide our body with all the infinite universal wealth upon us.

When we take charge to work in partnership with all the things around us, giving life to each and every living and non living things, we stride ourselves into a higher plane.  We start to acknowledge the abundance of life.  We integrate with an infinite universal soul, where all our wants and wishes in life will no longer have limits nor boundaries in time or space or extent or magnitude.

This is my message to him -- Congratulations, my dear friend!  It is nice to hear that you have taken the actions where you 'decided to put (yourself) in the driver's seat .. and take control (of it)'!  Just as it is comfortable for us to look good and it is important to feel clean everyday, the soul of the house needs the same emotions too.  I strongly believe that your energy, and all of your vibrations (inside and outside), will start to change hereon.

This is my message to my sister -- Congratulations and Best Wishes.  As it is, just with starting a small area cleaning up your kitchen, you have already felt so much different.  I am glad to hear that abundance has also come when you started cleaning up the Wealth Area in your house too.  There will be many more good things awaiting.  But, importantly, there will be thousand folds of joy and peace that will envelope you and your family.

One of the reasons that I decided on the recent two weeks' spring cleaning, it had to do with the almost completion of the Lift Upgrading Program.  Reiki Sanctuary had kinda suffered from heavy noises and flying dusts for the last four months.  There were heavy structural hacking of walls and construction of new parapet walkways.  She had been caged-in with most of her windows closed all throughout the day, six days a week from eight in the morning till six in the evening.

Still, there were fragments of dust sipped through.  There were dusts on the kitchen tops.  There were dusts on the floor tiles, from the living to kitchen and toilet.  There were dusts on the balcony chengal woods.  There were dusts on all the plants.

Now (with the latest letter from the contractor) that all the necessary structural hacking will come to an end soon, my conscience compelled for a head start to bring Reiki Sanctuary back to her glory.  These four months have been long.

I have been avoiding having much friends over soon as the Upgrading started.  I just do not feel good to invite them.  But, in all the inconveniences, I truly appreciate the hard works of all the workers.  It was, indeed, hard and tiring laborious tasks.  It was all for the convenience of the residents.

Chronological Photo Story:

Early June 2011.
Workers started to erect scaffolds from the ground floor up.

Mid August 2011.
Hacked of walls for lift (far left of picture)
Constructed concrete parapet walkway and railings (center of picture)

Mid July to Early September 2011.
An everyday sight just outside Reiki Sanctuary.  A locked gate towards the newly built concrete parapet walkway towards the new lift.

Today.
Removed of scaffolds with newly painted walls.
Indeed, it is now so bright and .. OMG, beautiful!  Yes, I feel 'so new' living here.

Today.
Workers removing scaffolds on lower ground.

Today.
The newly built concrete parapet walkway towards the new (incomplete) lift.

Today.
This is a new feature to the block (New rails on staircase landing).  Previously, it was a slab of wall.  With the Upgrading, it has been replaced with railing.  It definitely brings in the light.  Unfortunately, the picture does not justify it.

Today.
Just standing outside Reiki Sanctuary, it gives me with a new feeling.  I feel uplifted, energized and somewhat thrilled.

And I just have to wait for the end to come!, and hopefully pretty soon.  I was telling a friend today, as she dropped by, that it would be nice just to walk on the walkway to and fro the lift.

Make It Real

Never underestimate the vibration of flowers and their ability to affect internal change within us.

And so, it has started ..

The Law of Vacuum creates the time, space, atmosphere and opportunities to move, grow, replenish in one's life almost instantaneously when there is a creation of vacuum and space.  This Universal Law allows movement, and that when all space is filled, the solidarity prevents further movement or growth.  It rebuilds on a more solid foundation in which to place only the highest and only the best with the least amount of energy and expense.

The vacuum draws forth other energies to fill that void which the past energies are left behind.  That, in very much subtle yet brute-forced progression, the Law moves towards higher spiritual dimensions.

The Law of Vacuum is a powerful Universal Law.  It assists us in achieving our goals and dreams.

Just observe - When we cut away the leaves or a branch out from a tree, watch how quickly that space fills back with new leaves and branch.  Or, when we are to clear a clutter from our home, we soon find new stuff seems to fill it up again.

However, one needs to understand that the Universe cannot put good something in the vacuum and space until we let go of what it is holding in it.  Nature abhors a vacuum.   And, since the inherent nature of the Universe is all about good, a vacuum will always be filled with good.

And so, here is my story ..

Since I had finally done with the intended (so-called) spring cleaning in Reiki Sanctuary after our recent purchases from Bangkok (Blog Entry: "The Beauty of Beauty") - which took me almost two weeks to finish, I must admit that the Universe acted almost immediately to fill me up with the Universal Law of Vacuum.

This time, it is about spiritual revelation where consciousness has been brought forth to draw on my awareness.  This time, it is filled to wake me up from my lack of conviction.  For me to return to consciousness, to make a difference and to cause a transformation.

This time, it has to do with external provocation into my awakening.  This time, it has to do with harnessing the encouragement (from some friends) to own up the courage to who I Am.  This time, it has to do with breaking away from all the lacks of confidence.

Ultimately, as they try to convince me, it is about time to become the person that I have had abandoned long before.  To be that individual that I have had long dismissed.  To re-member with the soul that I have had long forgotten.

This time, it has asked for an admission for my Higher Self.

Perhaps, at this juncture, I would like to add that this writing will be all about me.  And, to those who might find it disconcerting and distasteful, it is best to stop your read here.

What you will find further is my writing about my higher healing energy.

-  I am going to admit of my higher healing capabilities.

-  I am about to share with the Universe how much I have now re-membered my Light Being.

It has taken me few days thinking about this entry.  It has taken me the courage to challenge myself for what I would consider bringing forth my self worth, in loving my own soul, and to live this lifetime rightfully.  You see, over the years, I would rather not "advertise" myself more than it should.

Personally, I find it is enough for people to know that I am just another Reiki practitioner and that I, like many of them, do healing works based on Reiki Principles.  It suffices to say, these are just energy works.

After the spring cleaning, I had two beautiful separate encounters with two different individuals who were rather relatively unknown to me.  These individuals crossed my path in such precise symmetrical balance with Reiki Sanctuary's spring cleaning.

When I started with the spring clean, I asked for an energy escalation to magnify self-realization.  I asked for an insight into the energetic frequency magnitude that was affecting us.

Of late, I felt the stillness of inert energy surrounded us.  Everything was somehow hollow and shallow yet it provoked us emotionally.  We were made to feel a need to fix something in the external world; something out there outside the soul.  But, it left our soul to experience inertia with the same uniformed energy just circulating in small circles of events.  To some, the energy caused with dysfunctional thoughts, beliefs and behaviours.

The energetic vibrations around us were going around at much a plateaued phase.  Where joy was not fully heightened nor sadness would hit us at the rock bottom.  Our creative engine, somehow, had anchored from navigating through the multi-dimensional ocean of Life.  It ceased us from active quantitative participation.

The common thing said to me, by these two individuals, was of my lack of conviction to who I truly were.  It was this lack that caused my consciousness not to expand fully.  "You put too much on what others would call you an Egoist rather than to free yourself to live with your true life purpose" and so it was said.

Indeed, I had put few miraculous experiences behind me just so that I could be 'normal'.  So that, in what I would think, to be accepted.  Often, I shunned from giving pranic predictions.  Partly, it had to do with fear of failure.  I struggled to believe that I had imparted great words of wisdom or that I had to personally be aware of the healing process and directed it every moment for true healing to occur.

One said, "You just have to listen to the voice of your heart.   It is here that you will allow God to be you.  The Source has long waited for you to become one with It all over again."

Perhaps, I was still not convinced that every mistake was my chance to learn something new, for me to get something right.  I was so much caught in my own low self esteem.  Yet, ironically as one of them said, "Often you put away your power to someone else to shine but not yourself!".

Those meaningful conversation had made me to reflect.

Looking back, it was my conversation with God that came through, from their hearts, of these two individuals.  They had nothing to lose to offer these poignant observations of my auric fields.  They have a choice to add value judgment.

How I had slowed down God's highest light to shine upon myself.  How I had let time to slow down, not only for my own growth but for those who had sought my help.

How I had missed many opportunities to open up the gates of heaven for others.  How I had withheld the highest purpose of my own marvelous creation on this spiritual journey.

I must now accept my powers; these powers which are not mine but the Creator.  I am just His tool to expand for what is warranted to be done.  I must start to obey to allow a partnership for the purpose of lending energetic support with the Source.

Ironically, just when I needed more comfort to understand my soul, two of my students sent such wonderful messages wishing me "Happy Teacher's Day" few days back.  They thanked me for having provided them.  They, as though reading me, complimented my deeds upon them.  I am not a teacher by profession but it did give me a joy knowing its significance.

Perhaps, I must no longer question my abilities but to take charge and be in command of my destiny.  I must believe that I am different.

One on his words to me, during that conversation, "You can do many miraculous things that you probably want.  Release that fear and allow the energetic resonance to integrate with your soul.  You have to believe who you truly are and throw away those that cast doubts on you.  You have my blessings."

Thank You, my friends.  Thank You for the faith and the guidance.  Indeed, our meeting at this point in time was the work of God to fill me up just when I was looking for assurances.  All your words helped to empower what was once my lost.  I felt very much grateful for the occasion.  It was, indeed, an honour to meet with the two of you.

Perhaps, all the sorrows that I had been harbouring inside had to do with self denial.  It had to do with a lost soul that I have had long ignored.  That wanted to be re-united.  That wanted to be taken in.  These sorrows had taken my soul to lose sight of who I had supposed to be.

Today onwards, it has to be a brand new day!  It has to be!  After all, I had emptied the space to allow a vacuum to be filled.  Now, I should learn to accept.

Broaden The Mind, Broaden Thy World

Actions, positive or negative, do not go unrewarded.

Admittedly, I am rather an old-fashioned guy.  Perhaps, a little traditional and conservative.  Worse, am I still living in the past?  Which - haha, as most of us would prefer to deny it and more so in my case here is rather, philosophically, contradicting.  Here I am, a person who would want to flow with time and with opportunities but, somehow, I am in a world of skepticism when it comes to wireless communication - The World of Wi-Fi.  But, I must acknowledge that wireless network is the way to go as we advance forward in the ever changing technology.

I always have this disturbing idea where wireless communication performs rather ineffectively.  Should the modem (or the router) is not strategically placed, internet access in any computer network around the house is affected and very possible that, say, surfing the net can be a pain in the ass.  Perhaps, I have had bad experience dealing with router, its configuration and the weak signals, reception and speed.  Then again, when it comes to technology, it is often said that 'technology is not the problem but it is an issue with the human'.

I just have to tell myself that I need to learn.  That I need to read, and find out, a little bit more.  That I need to overcome the fear.  Ironically, I used to tell some people not to be afraid of the computers and never to live a life not knowing what is Internet; it is here to serve us and not the other way round.  Technology has evolved but it has always changed not to complicate things.  It is supposed to make life, and lifestyle, easier.

Alan Watts wrote "Technology is destructive only in the hands of people who do not realize that they are one and the same process as the Universe."  I believe that I have to own a new paradigm of thought.  I have to think outside the box.  I have to focus on the good things, those that I clearly and dearly want, and not on what will fail.

Wireless communication offers mobility and convenience.  The devices literally dispense us with the need for wires.  In turn, it frees up space and eliminates clutter.  There is no need for re-wiring.  With no wires or cables to route, a wireless communication system is, inherently, more flexible than the traditional wired network.  When it comes to security and reliability, one just has to read a little more about authentication and encryption.

The one wasted thing that I lost, from the way I used to think, is the free OpenNet optic fibre installation.  Should I have taken up their offer to wire up last year, I will save some $200 for routing up Reiki Sanctuary into a technology highway.

Back then, the hesitation was on two things:

01.  I would prefer a wired network.

Going on this logic, we have to call our contractors to supervise the installation so as to hide the wires, through the false ceiling, all the way to the Study Room.  Definitely, it will involve more renovation works to open up the false ceiling (and more dusts) and additional unnecessary costs.

02.  I am not convinced with high and steady WiFi speed.

I will be disappointed should I pay for a higher subscription for higher download/upload speeds on fibre broadband but getting a weak wireless speed  that is equivalent and of negligible differentials to an ADSL wired network.

The Decision Today

The idea to go forward to migrate from ADSL to Opennet Optic fibre broadband is all about cost effectiveness.  It is a little fraction of cost difference compared with our existing ADSL bundled subscription, that includes with MIO TV (mainly for the soccer channels) and the unlimited digital home line.

OpenNet Installation

OpenNet Installation day.  On left of picture is where the Terminal Point (TP) is fixed.  We actually prefer for the TP to be inside the TV console but we were strongly advised by the contractors/installers not to do so.  The reason, as they specifically mentioned, optic fibre is best not be bent.

These efficient guys from OpenNet doing what were told.  To minimize cable exposure, we have no choice but to get a hole opened/drilled low and to lay the optic fibre cable to run under the TV Console.  It also means another visibility of electric trunks. *Sad*

Internet Service Provider Installation

The mess.  Salute to the Internet Service Provider's technician who wanted to clean up the mess after his successful installation, but we declined.

It is a brand new world

For few dollars more, there is a huge different with the optic fibre broadband internet speed vs an ADSL connection.  And here, I am comparing it between a wired ADSL and a fibre broadband wifi capabilities.

I learn that skepticism does not make me wiser.  Matter-of-fact, anything of negative thoughts retard any growths.  I am amazed with the wireless speed emitted from the optic fibre broadband modem, which my ISP claims can enhance WiFi coverage.  Though the technician informed that we could only get up to 70 mbps (on wireless) for download speed,  I am so thrilled at the results.

Speed using ADSL, based on WIRED 15 mbps subscription:

Using Speed test @ SG

Using Speed test @ dot.NET

Speed using optic Fibre Broadband, based on WIRELESS on 200 mbps subscription:

Using Speed test @ Sg

Using Speed test @ dot.NET

Hmm, what more can I ask?!  Though, I must say that the upload speed really surprises me.  In most speed tests, the upload speed is more than the download speed!  How I wish that it is the other way round.

It is always our misconception on certain matters in life that hinders our growth.  It is always our reluctance to shift the paradigm on our thinking that makes us not knowing about Universal potentials.  It is always our fear that negates to free our emotions.

Yes, I have become the change.  And so, is Reiki Sanctuary.
