When we were planning for the electrical layout during the early phase, we wanted the Legrand silvery plate switches. We just felt that it will look elegant against the walls. However, Chiauw strongly disagreed and that we should opt for the Legrand Mallia white series.
Chiauw had bad experience with the silvery plate switches in her past projects. The silvery thing could be easily peeled off especially when it is taped over with adhesive tapes. To her, it won't make economical sense should that happen to us and we have to keep replacing them.
Just as the electrical works are being carried out, Chiauw got a new lead about Berker. Berker, a German brand, has a new range of coloured switch plates that guarantee its coloured durability. The company assured us that the colour will not diminish in any condition. Though we have yet to see the full range of Berker products for the house selection, we have decided on Berker K5 series for our switches.
